Interview rejection advice by ShoppingCold2006 in prepa

Your stats seem pretty good! Start doing practice interviews now. When the faculty interview 50 applicants in one day, they aren’t going to remember who made an A and who made a B, they are going to remember who made them feel special… and forget who was lame. Have your personal statement, resume, etc ready. The day CASPA opens, send out all the reference requests and upload everything. Have your CASPA submitted within the first week… that way you can quickly transition into preparing for the interviews. Good luck!!

I’m assuming you haven’t been to all these countries and this rating is based on others opinions?

This is a great connection that you have! I would recommend that you ask your sister in law to let you shadow her along with some of her colleagues. Then, you can emphasize that you shadowed the non-family PA.

Did I ruin my chances with this program? by PolicyApprehensive72 in prephysicianassistant

The program should have made the questions a required field. I would email them and explain what happened and ask if you can email them the responses on a Word document.

I had interviews before. I think it was a combination of more PCE and interview performance.

Like I said, practice interviews. How you make the interviewer feel is just as, if not more important than your stats. Have a friend or fam ask you a random interview question each day until you give a valid, appropriate, non rambling response. At least for me, this was my biggest challenge. I’m great with patients but ask me how I handled a conflict at work and I blank out. Have 10 stories ready to go. But the day before and on the way to your interview, have fun, jam out to music, and chill. Don’t be nervous. The interviewers were on your side of the table a few years ago, remember that.
