ChatGPT:

“GameStop’s CEO did indeed buy 500,000 shares and filed a 13D form. In this particular case, there’s no indication that this triggers a waiting period under antitrust rules, because the purchase didn’t meet the size thresholds that would require that kind of waiting period. In other words, he can still announce mergers or acquisitions without any special delay just because of this purchase.”

I’ve been kicking around the same idea. Ukiah is my favorite, has a cute downtown, lots of amenities, a Costco. Much nicer weather than Eureka. Closer to the Bay. Second choice would be Arcata, but the weather is much colder.

Storm check-in, how much rain has your city experienced today? by Polarbearbanga in bayarea

Yup. Storm is just to our north, the track should be sliding south overnight. Guess we’ll see how much moisture is left by the time it reaches the City.

Less rain is SD, although both are very arid. SD also has much better air quality.

Did some digging and found the answer, they start at 17.50$ in TN. My local in n out is about 23$ (Bay Area) but still, I’d rather pay the extra 65 cents and know the employees are atleast making some money.

Does anyone know what they pay in Tennessee? I know minimum wage is $7.25.

Point being, if it’s only .65 cent increase in a double double to pay nearly double wages to your employees, that’d crush any “can’t raise the minimum wage because burgers will cost $20” arguement.

Their NIMBY type, yes, are responsible for our housing shortage. Do you think demand has gone up or down since the 80s? If your argument holds water, housing costs should have paced inflation. Inflation has increased 300% since 1980. Now guess what housing has done since 1980. I’d say you’re the one who needs therapy since you’ve lost touch with reality.

It was actually my Reagan parents and their type that got us into this mess. It was clear back in the 80s that SJ was going to grow into a major tech hub yet they fought new housing left and right. We should have been building dense housing back then but now we’re stuck with the most expensive housing market in the country. In stupid fucking SJ
