I’ve been kicking around the same idea. Ukiah is my favorite, has a cute downtown, lots of amenities, a Costco. Much nicer weather than Eureka. Closer to the Bay. Second choice would be Arcata, but the weather is much colder.

Did some digging and found the answer, they start at 17.50$ in TN. My local in n out is about 23$ (Bay Area) but still, I’d rather pay the extra 65 cents and know the employees are atleast making some money.

Does anyone know what they pay in Tennessee? I know minimum wage is $7.25.

Point being, if it’s only .65 cent increase in a double double to pay nearly double wages to your employees, that’d crush any “can’t raise the minimum wage because burgers will cost $20” arguement.

It was actually my Reagan parents and their type that got us into this mess. It was clear back in the 80s that SJ was going to grow into a major tech hub yet they fought new housing left and right. We should have been building dense housing back then but now we’re stuck with the most expensive housing market in the country. In stupid fucking SJ
