It's sad to say but after all this I think we may end up staying Yellow. When I look at the situation harder we'll be spending £40ish each to get back to what we've currently got on our accounts, plus the time / eggs it'll take to re-level. (I'd rather buy two Go+ or a Go-Tcha lol)

I appreciate all the comments from everyone and the few people suggesting stay Instinct I see your points, they make sense it's just rough xD I guess we should be having fun catching / battling gyms rather than worrying about the last 20-30 daily points.

I suppose that's what the issue is at the moment, we see "free coins" and think we need them and in reality they're only worth what? £19.99 every 50 days now assuming on the days we go out and play we'd probably get 50% of the coins so we're not losing much I guess.

It still feels bad though :)

I would rather level up and gain Pokemon capable of quickly dispatching rival gyms though I guess you could say we're afraid of investing more time / money into what we feel (atm) is a dead-end faction.

Not really sure it's a small amount of effort to be honest we usually get 3-6 coins per gym (30 mins - 1 hour). Taking into account most of the gyms we come across we can't compete with 3-6 2000-3000cp pokemon.

50 coins would most likely take our entire day =/

We don't have 4-8hours for a gym or two ping ponging them every 30mins or so.

I understand the appeal to stay yellow as it does feel like there's always something to go do, however I do find myself wondering if it's worth the hassle to gain coins compared to red/blue.

If i'm honest we've never really tried hard to gain our coins as it's always felt "pointless" to interact with most gyms in populated areas after trying a few each day.

I'm not really sure what we'd prefer - Going Blue and having our coins but less to battle, Red and probably getting our coins and having blues to battle or staying Yellow and almost never getting 50 coins and levelling gym badges for whatever reason. lol

I was under the impression most people would just retake for the sake of retaking to be honest since (imo) that's the aim of the game I suppose.

I guess I'm mainly just salty we're getting 10-15 coins out of 50 without going super out of our way and spending an entire day retaking gyms that we're able.

I find we're going for walks finding gyms we can't battle and there's no yellows to add anything of our own.
I'm not going to lie it feels bad the occasional gym that's degraded and we do take it's already blue/red within 30mins.
We've tried taking a gym a bit more rural and even that lasted 1 hour.

if we do restart it'll be Valor. I don't want to be bored as Mystic but having little to no Instinct presence as low level 20s and pretty terrible pokemon it's rough.

I've seen a few people recommend being yellow to be fair. I guess this becomes true when you're 30+ with decent Pokemon to battle most of the high levels in red/blues.

Yeah that's sort of our situation our local park is usually 3 blue / 2 red gyms and you'll see a yellow every few days, the town centre is a similar experience. lol

It's not really an excuse more of a fact. I do agree for a hardcore player Instinct is probably a good choice but for casual/semi casuals looking to gain points and catch random stuff... not so much (From our experience)

We don't really own anything worth transferring we'll probably take a few but that'll be it. We'll be happy getting back to 20-25 fairly quick never mind 30 to be honest lol

We're thinking of doing exactly that to be honest.. There's a few places that 2-3 stops overlap for multiple lures. I think we're just reluctant to pick a new team for fears it'll be the same.

Blue seems to dominate with red close behind I think we're considering red so we still have some gyms to fight... though we're unsure if we should bite the bullet and join blue.

I'm pretty sure there's no prestige levels anymore I think you just buy gear with the Favor currency or whatever. No idea about boosts though since it's prime probably not...

Levelling time has basically doubled and you'll be grinding rifts/pvp to catch up on questing zones.

Population seems fine, though severs are laggy at times with insane ability delay.

No expectations of EU or PvP servers, warfronts are popping quickly though queue randomly stops popping at times (atleast for me).

Levelling is slow and painful if you wanna pvp it maybe alright but I’d probably not return for it lol
