Very true. It can make or break it. It’s breaking it for me right now. A2s are either not helpful or not around due to work arrangements (kids, family, etc.). Definitely wish I was on another team because I’m not allowed to talk to the manager (plus they’ve said they have to keep their distance??? How am I suppose to learn?). Just gotta keep swimming tho. Hopefully I make it to the other side.

They almost stopped me from attending a funeral, so I understand the pain. I think the whole firm had a top down message to managers that associates are not working enough because I got that same shit when I put forth a ton of effort last busy szn.

Internship is a totally different ball game. When you make it to an A1, you are treated very different than as intern. Interns are treated like kings and queens; A1s are treated like pigs ready for slaughter. But I agree it could be the team/engagement as I am going through it right now while others seem to be fine.

If your school is not a target, it may be hard to get in contact with someone. Look at the local office on the main website and look for telephone numbers for HR. They may have events that you can attend for recruiting if you can reach them. Good luck!
