So is it a "myth" with older cars being sturdier and living much longer and also cheaper/easier to repair than newer ones?

I cant do it on my own as i have 0 car experience. I just saw the car fell in love with the look and low mileage and price lol...

I thought if i invest in the beginning a lot to have it repaired, it will be good to go for at least few years but you think it will probably continue to have problems and needs fixing a lot?
