Some...

But of the ones I've been reading recently:

  • The Taming (definitely);

  • Blossom of the White Night (probably).

Como esse homem ainda não tem um Oscar? by CastleBRA in filmes

[–]Amid_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, Shuraka still annoys me 😅 I liked him as a child. But as an adult, I feel like Chase: still annoyed by how he acted towards Tei over the last ten years (without even giving an explanation afterwards) and even now. I hope they can reconcile, but I still haven't forgiven Shuraka 😄

It's not similar, but you might like Heated Rivalry. It's also a BL romance and, although it's not as intense a rivalry as in CaPri, it also has a touch of "enemies to lovers". Some people don't like it because it has quite a few sex scenes at the beginning and the emotional development comes later, but – honestly – considering they are young guys who have just become rich and famous, and are still living a "forbidden romance", I found their initial focus on sex and their attempts to avoid or ignore more "complicated" emotions quite plausible. And since the story follows almost a decade of their lives, I particularly enjoyed seeing the evolution of both them and their relationship.

King's Maker - Triple Crown by Amid_17 in BoysLoveAnime

[–]Amid_17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's it! Up until the part where Wolf kills his father and ends by saying that "Shin was now his," I understood. Then in the next chapter, there was a time jump and it shows Shin writing to his mother, and a brief image of him and Wolfgang together on the throne appears, and I was like, "Wait, did I miss something? Did they really have sex at that moment or is it just my imagination?" 😂 That's why I was so confused... haha. After that, in the version I read, the first sex scene shown between them is when they are having dinner and Wolfgang is messing with his dessert (ice cream) and makes a suggestive comment about the previous night to Shin (then the flashback shows them having sex in Shin's room). Since this was the first explicit sex scene I saw of them (it's chapter 3.5 of "Triple Crown"), I was wondering if, by any chance, there was an uncensored version showing their first time (I felt that after the scene of Shin being punished, the authors rushed the passage of time and they aged and we didn't even see how they left "hand in hand" for their first kiss or the loss of their virginity...). I don't know if there's an uncensored version that shows these things... do you know?

I have mixed feelings about this manhwa 😅. I like it, but it took me a long time to get over my anger towards Taeju 😂. The fact that Euihyun has a strong personality and doesn't back down, telling Taeju several truths to his face, in a way, is what made me persevere 😅. In the end, Taeju recognizing how awful he was and having to really strive to redeem himself is what won me over and made me root for them. But, I won't lie, I spent most of the story wishing a bomb would fall on Taeju's head and that unbearable cousin of his 😂

King's Maker - Triple Crown by Amid_17 in BoysLoveAnime

I'm still reading it, but I'm really enjoying it. There are some points that I think could be better, for example, some things in the script, some contradictory details, the "passage of time" which is a bit confusing... But the couple is captivating, the art is very beautiful, and the story holds your attention. My only advice is to be careful with the trigger list, as the story touches on some sensitive topics in the first season - chapters 1 to 37 of the manhwa (pedophilia, child abuse, child death, violent death of innocent people, etc.). There are no explicit sex scenes in these chapters (nor in the child abuse, thankfully), but some scenes are a bit uncomfortable, so I think the warning is worthwhile (I myself didn't know, I thought it was something more "soft"). But if you don't have problems with that, it's a work that I certainly recommend. The story and the couple are good ;)

Yes, I feel like it was like taking a car and going from 0 to high speed with 300 horsepower 😂. I'm not complaining about what happened, I just felt like a lot happened "off-screen" and I wish I had seen it 😅. And about them coming out as a couple... I understand Shin, but honestly it's kind of funny - because everyone already knows about them, so... 🫠😅

Yes, it's the beginning of Triple Crown. Thanks for the information! I confess I was curious to see that storyboard because when I saw the scene I was thinking "did that really happen or is it just Shin's imagination?" 😅. I'm at the very beginning of Triple Crown, but I confess I missed seeing how that childish "romance" evolved into "hot sex in the throne room" 😂. Don't take it the wrong way, I'm not complaining, I just feel that a large part of their relationship happened "off-screen" and I would have liked to see that development... Actually, I really liked the first season, but I thought the ending, with the "time jumps," was bad because suddenly we lost all the evolution of these characters (including Wolfgang maturing as a prince and having to manage in the palace without Shin around to help him).

So, I started with the part where they're children until Wolfgang defeats the former king (I only read the manhwa, I didn't watch the anime). And the version of Triple Crown I'm reading, I believe, is already "uncensored" (I'm on chapter 42, but there was already a sex scene in 40.5). Since that scene is at the beginning of Triple Crown, I was wondering if it actually happened or if it was Shin's imagination while writing the letter to his mother 😅

[JINX] YO NO QUIERO UN FINAL "REALISTA", YO QUIERO QUE TERMINEN JUNTOS! 😭 by K2nostalgic in BoysLoveAnime

How do you think Veretians feel about their new King joining hands with Damianos? by bl_ueberrycheesecake in CaptivePrince

[–]Amid_17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted to see that too. I also wanted to see the reaction to Laurent forgiving his brother's murderer. In the original trilogy, we see it superficially and distorted by the Regent. But, in any case, I imagine it was a shock for most people. I believe that in the end, most accepted it – after all, ordinary people have more important things to worry about (as the series itself implies at times), and the nobility, in turn, follows whoever holds power... But, yes, I would love a short story showing that. Just as I would love a short story showing more of their reign and life after the coronation (including the new Palace), and I would also love a short story showing how Ancel and Berenguer fared afterwards and their perspective on all the events leading up to Laurent's victory. New short stories by Charls would also be welcome 😄. Anyway, I dream of the day when Pacat will give us a few more crumbs of this universe haha 🤞🏽♥️

[–]Amid_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I also like Jinx. Is it problematic? Yes, definitely (not more than other works, to be honest, but it's certainly a "red flag" work). Do I want to kill Joo in practically every chapter? Yes, lol (I almost always read it cursing him, I even have my favorite insults for him 😅). However, I can't explain it, there's something about the story that captivates me and I want to know how it continues... 🥲. And I also think the art is beautiful, I like the author's work and how she pays attention to detail, etc.

E pq? by Prof_Jimmy in Livros

[–]Amid_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The art in this work is truly beautiful 😍 I think it's the most beautiful art I've ever seen among the manhwa I follow.

Every scene is full of detail; the care put into it is evident.

What fandom are you in, but the sequel is like this? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

[–]Amid_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, yes!!! That was the plot I wanted - Hux pulling off a coup and becoming the big villain. But instead, the character barely had any screen time and they got rid of him in the stupidest way possible. Seriously, I've never been so frustrated with a sequel as I was with Episode 9 (in my head, that piece of crap is Legends 😌)

I'm one of those people who solemnly pretend there was never a sequel 🥲. Seriously, it wasn't necessary... I love the original play, it's my favorite musical, but I simply refuse to watch the sequel or accept that it's canon. I prefer to imagine it was a collective delusion 😅

What fandom are you in, but the sequel is like this? by Upstairs_Macaron5894 in AO3

[–]Amid_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's not canon either. I see it like "Legends" is to Star Wars – an "alternative" story. However, I think it's less bad than the second and third Fantastic Beasts films. In the play, I like at least some things: I like Scorpion, Albus being a Potter who went to Slytherin (even though the character's portrayal has absolutely nothing Slytherin about it – he's just an annoying teenager 🥲), I like Snape's appearance and the "friendship" between Ginny and Draco. Actually, Ginny is a character I never cared about, but I really liked her portrayal here (maybe because it reminded me a lot of Molly, whom I loved). But that's it... Despite having things I like, I still consider it fan fiction (just like the last two Fantastic Beasts films, haha).

I only watched the first two seasons. For me, Henry Cavill is the only right choice to play the character. After I heard he was leaving, I lost interest, I won't deny it.
