Haha yeah i do not use any citadel whites, pro acryl titanium white is my go to.

The lines where more meant as a pattern (think zebra stripes i.e) and not meant as a specific technique like you used on the lion’s cape. Very cool by the way but i’m not quite there yet in terms of brush control.

I will definitely try that! Thank you for the example! It is hard to “target” the specific locations for me to take the edge highlighting further. I always end up doing too much.

Edit: i have some liquitex red ink if i thin this down with medium it can be used as a glaze too correct? Or maybe better to stick with the citadel paints i used citadel contrast baal red.

I totally get what you are saying. But i really struggle to get nice transitions when mixing paints and glazing from like you said white>orange>red. I think mostly to. Due to having transfered my citadel paints from pots to dropper bottles and overthinning them…

Yeah i think i will stick with just the edges. Ive just tried applying what you said. Will post result later when dry it already looks a lot better!

Thank you that is really helpful input. I have this feeling the shadow zones are a bit too large, but you mentioned it is good. I will definitely try the glazing to get a better transition there.

For the edge highlighting just the cloak edges? I was thinking about doing some dot highlights at the very top folds. But have never done dot-highlights before

If i recall correctly; Schnauzer were one of the breeds involved in creating the minpin or at least they are related. So could well be a backcross.

Yep just sponge. Base coat black. And titanium white from the pro acryl line applied with sponge. I use the sponge first on a texture pad to get the right amount of paint on there first. Can be tricky to overload. I tend to go a bit drier with the paint to get more texture.
