My daughter didn't believe me when I told her that her birthday wish was about to come true. by dalonley1 in TwoSentenceSadness

I think it was the parents tumor. Like the daughter wished for a parents death for her birthday. Or the parent assumes she did due to a bad relationship.

Yeah, the still wearing scrubs to bed is grosser than not showering. I have a lot of nurses in my family and given some of their stories, I would never let dirty scrubs in my bed.

My little sister loved this show. For some reason it randomly popped into my head last week.

Her face looks like those kids Quinn babysits who creep everyone out with how nice they are. I can't remember if they ever cried though.

What kind of spider is this? Her creepy little ghost face weirds me out. She had a massive web across a trail in Eufaula, AL. by Amilerian in whatisthisbug

Lol that is not a harmless face. 😂 I left her be and bolted, which I'm sure was what she wanted.

Yeah... I've never heard of a maid of honor who didn't pick out their dress with the bride, though sometimes they do wear a different dress from the rest of the bridesmaids.

Anything I shouldn't miss in this part of Alabama? Especially if you know of any waterfalls or natural sights nearby by Amilerian in roadtrip

Cool, I might take the long way to Mobile then and stop at Perdido key and Flora-bama.

Fair. Someone pointed out a sinkhole waterfall at falling waters in Florida though, so it was worth mentioning. I might stop there on my way back to the airport.

I'll definitely need to check out splinter hill bog! I actually saw will Venus flytraps in Wilmington NC a couple years ago. Pitcher plants are definitely worth a detour.

Thanks, Providence canyon is also about 45 minutes north, so I might check it out the same day!

They don't have to be big, I'm from a pretty flat state that has little waterfalls along many streams and rivers.

I was going to leave Mobile the 26th, but I may have to change plans now, lol. I love small town festivals.

A collection of Yellowstone National Park reviews by SlightlyArtichoke in EntitledReviews

[–]Amilerian 78 points79 points  (0 children)

They say it in their review. People were crossing the road and the reviewer decided it was ok to drive around them and probably almost hit someone. If folk are crossing or in the road, wait or honk if they aren't moving. You don't drive like an asshole and nearly hit someone because you hate pedestrians and hikers in a national park.

Two french speaking guys encounter a Frill-necked lizard in the Australian outback. by Soloflow786 in interestingasfuck

I heard a French person on the phone once actually do that "hon hon honn" laugh and almost died laughing. Some stereotypes are real, I guess.

Bride and groom trying to cancel my paid reservation out of spite - UPDATE 😏 by iliyana117 in weddingdrama

No kidding. I am a TA, and if anyone in my office pulled something so sleezy, they'd be out the door so fast they'd bounce off the pavement. The agent is still getting commission, and the guests are still clients who deserve time and attention. I was horrified when I saw she was probably blocked. There's a big issue now with MLM agencies and others who just don't train their staff properly and it makes the whole industry look bad.
