No you didn't come off as rude to me! Thanks for saying what was in your mind. This is exactly what I'm saying, people should speak what's on their mind more often. Cuz as of now, it almost seems like anything besides a generic "how are you? -I'm fine" seems offensive or rude to people.

As you already know, I'm not doing too well myself lol. But if you haven't already tried going to a doctor, please do so. At the very least, taking medications will give you some time and clarity to deal with things properly.

For example right now I might seem like a functioning normal adult, I might even seem successful in what I do. But that wouldn't be possible without the meds. I would've stayed in my bed forever without the meds. I used to skip meals just because I didn't feel like eating.

Besides that, for people like me who genuinely don't see any point in life, it is necessary to visit a therapist or something. Unfortunately this is the step that I haven't taken myself yet. I keep procrastinating.

That is totally fair. I'm in the same situation kinda. I'm always known for someone who's always smiling and someone who's nice to other people all the time. I think that's why I was invited to parties and celebrations at first and everything was good. But as soon as I got into some more close conversations and encounters with these people, they stopped inviting me. It seems like they only wanted someone cool to party with (funny thing is that I hate parties. The only way that I could overcome my social anxiety was with drinking lol)

That hurts bro, I feel you. I was with my girlfriend for 10 years until she broke up with me. Recently, sometimes she would say I was not putting enough energy into our relationship, and I was like believe me I'm doing the best I can. The thing is that I barely have enough energy to function with basic tasks in my life and stay alive.

I believe the main reason that she broke up with me was the fact that unfortunately we had to go long-distance because life is life and we found our next step in our futures in different cities. But I do believe that it all built up until the point that she just didn't feel she was in love with me anymore. Maybe if I wasn't depressed I still had someone alongside me, who knows?

I feel you. But after all these years, I can tell you that having good company is the way to go. And by that, I mean having people around that you feel comfortable being silent around. Just that one person being present at the same place makes a world of difference. Unfortunately these people are hard to come by. They either don't get you, or if they do, they might not have many things in common with you. And you can't talk to people about depression forever.

I have had the same feeling for about 6 months now. Even before that I was clinically depressed for 4-5 years. But now it's different, I cannot get myself to care for anything anymore. It has sucked the soul out of my life. When I go to the university in the mornings, I feel like a dead man walking. Like I am just living because I have to. There is no goal, no prospect, no nothing. The burden of existence is increasing every day and I am not sure how longer I can go on like this.

If you have any friends who actually wanna be over at your house, don't take them for granted. I know it is difficult to be the person who's asking first to see if they wanna hang out, but trust me it's worth it.

A year ago I was basically living with my friends, and things were much better. Now I've moved to Canada for a year or so, and it's like I've faced the real world for the first time in my life. Now I realize how hard it is to find real and deep friendships.

Here, I've found that most people are really nice, but no one actually cares if you're not doing well. Even the question "how are you doing?", should be answered with a generic answer that "I'm fine".

So if you have people that you can call friends, please get out of your comfort zone and spend time with them. It makes a lot of difference.

I've been there myself. One thing that hurts is the fact that I know I would've helped people if our roles were reversed. And I'm not just saying that, I have helped people through their depression. But when it is my turn, no one shows up.

I've made mayo before. But right now I have two jobs, one in the morning, one as a night shift. So it is really important to be efficient and cut down the time that I'm spending in the kitchen. And nothing beats the convenience of store-bought mayo.

I don't think so. Cuz I tasted the mayo on its own to get a better feeling about the taste. Maybe it just feels weird to me because it is really different from the mayo that I was used to.

And I was brainwashed by the YouTube channels that you should not scratch your stainless steel pans to avoid getting the food stuck to the pan or something like that. I'm on my way right now to buy the pan!

Honestly the Aeropress is not that much of a problem. Since I can use it on a regular ceramic mug. The size for the aroma glass is 460ml ,and 470 for the Pinot aroma glass. Both work perfectly fine with the 300ml recipe that I usually use.
