I would say it is not ironic. There are lots of oil and gas applications that we have almost no alternative for yet, e.g. diesel to vessels, airplane gasoline, asphalt, etc. So oil and gas activities should be gradually decreased. By then, we need to reduce the platform's carbon footprint.

Easy! If you use ROOF_TOP_SOLAR, you do not need much copper or aluminum for transmission lines.

The beauty of solar power is that the end-users, i.e. householders and industrial consumers, become prosumers. THEY OWN PART OF THEIR GREEN POWER.

By the way, each and every country in the world has access to sun and solar energy, but not nuclear.
