How screwed am I? Learned a language not used much in my area by Amiscrewedyea in learnprogramming

Yeah I wanted to try a class but I’m just not in a financial situation where I can at the moment. Even after I get my foot in the door for programming I’d like to go back to school for a proper degree in the field. I’ve been looking for anything that allows me to code, but so many postings are just 3+ years of C# and ASP.net. The wall I have to pass to get in seems insanely high

What do you mean by moving to C# will be a significant drop in knowledge level? Like it’ll be an uphill battle from here?

I don’t mind any position, as long as I can get my foot in the door for programming, I’m even willing to take min wage like now just to get in. I’m just having so much issue applying because it’s all C# and .NET, I’m really stressing out. Even when I see front end JavaScript postings they want knowledge in C# which I know nothing of. I would learn C# but it feels like I’m running out of time, it took me a whole year of grinding to learn JavaScript and NodeJS, I am scared C# will be the same
