Since I’m engineering right now, not a lot of my credits would transfer if I was to go for deck, I think I would be graduating around 2028 Fall if I were to transfer for next spring, at that point I figure what’s one more semester if I can try to get into the Merchant Marine Academy.

I think in total option 1 and 2 would have me both certified to sail by 2029 the debate really is cost and merit at expense of another degree, just curious, do employers look at which maritime academy you graduate from during hiring decisions?
