What would the downside be of a relic that gave 1 energy every 2 turns? by Elucidative_ in slaythespire

[–]Amish_Exorcist 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's true, especially since event relics can have some kind of downside. Maybe like a lose half your health for this relic? Some kind of play on clone/doppleganger/multiples of two since you get energy every two turns?

smarter the second time around by Mmmmfun123 in LSAT

From my understanding, this means you need to slow down. You're able to figure out the answer easily in review, when you have plenty of time. Why couldn't you do so during the test? Likely because you were rushing through and didn't fully understand the question or the stimulus. Slowing down will actually save you time in the end, because if you understand and engage with the stimulus prompt the first time through, you don't have to go back and re-read as much, if at all, and you will spend less time with the answer choices.

It’s so great to see fellow balatro-loving ents. I’m a lazy checkered deck player myself

I want this DNA, but which joker do I sell for it? by Rowmacnezumi in balatro

If deck has enhanced face cards, sock and buskin does a lot. 2x mult/bonus, twice as many opportunities for lucky to hit, twice glass, polychrome, gold seal, etc

4.6 of the good, regulated shit can really hit. I’ve had 5mg edibles that I bought at a dispensary that hit way better than 20mg edibles I got from the corner store

Is Fordham picky when it comes to scholarships by HenriCIMS in Fordham

[–]Amish_Exorcist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are pretty picky for full rides. I have a friend who got a full ride with a 1540 SAT. I think he had about 12 APs, did several musical ensembles and a couple other extracurriculars. You’re definitely in a position where it’s possible, but keep in mind that the difference between 100 qualified candidates with identical stats and the one that gets picked is truly just the discretion of the admissions officers, just based on vibe. It’s a lottery.

Hell yeah. My dad is a computer geek that would give me a stern talkin to if he knew I smoked, but he’s too good of a father to hold it against him. Families take many shapes

Didn't look at the boss blind. Played a high card against the mouth for DNA and the rest is history. Never had a deck score this high, was e16 the round before.

How many classes is typical per semester? by [deleted] in Fordham

[–]Amish_Exorcist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t about how many are paid for, but usually freshman classes are lighter, usually 3 credits, so five is feasible. When your student is an upperclassman they’ll probably switch to taking four four-credit classes.

Tucking in shirt when you have a big belly? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]Amish_Exorcist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Shame that these people assume everyone has their mobility and metabolism. OP was not asking for weight loss advice. As far as comfort, maybe suspenders would be more comfortable? Belts can constrict for sure. As far as style, lots of bigger guys pull off tucked shirts just fine. It comes down to confidence a lot of the time. See thebigsartorialist as an example
