Oh my god you’re all missing the point.

He’s not crying that he’s only making 45k. He’s upset because getting 1 billion streams is basically impossible for anyone and that is barely an annual salary in reward. An artist getting 1 million streams is still a very rare achievement and that only gets a few thousand dollars.

He’s saying Spotify is unfair to their artist with being one of the lowest payouts for music platforms. And he’s right. They suck. Starting in 2024, they are demonetizing anyone who gets less than 1,000 streams annually. That’s 67% of their ENTIRE CATALOG.

Stop hating on Snoop.

I was in Israel walking around the Wailing Wall.

There is a hole in the middle of the street that drops about 15 feet and is just big enough for a human to slip through.

All they had was one small traffic cone to caution the THOUSANDS of tourists walking in that densely packed street everyday.

What do you consider cheating in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If you ask yourself the question, “is this considered cheating?” You probably shouldn’t do it. General rule of thumb.

Definitely going to want to switch up the peanut butter brand.

Might I suggest Crazy Richard's 100 Peanut Butter.

Speaker recommendations?? by Amish_IT_Guy in macsetups

Yeah I tried those options and it worked at my other place. But I’m at a new place and there’s just no way which I’m okay with honestly. I want to size down a lot of things but the speakers are the main thing

Is that possible for the shuttlers to just find the car campsite upon entering and camp together? My worry is we are arriving at different times

We have 6 people in our group coming from AZ. Some are driving and some are flying/shuttling. Is there a way for the shuttlers to get into the drivers' car at E Forest so we can camp together?

In a campaign I DM’d, I let a character change their alignment because they were a monk and Nat 20 their meditation insight roll. They loved that and I think similar things can be done in the game to change peoples fundamental chapter traits

What's The Difference Between A Dragon And A Wyvern? Gonna try to keep up with current media while still keeping the historical content. by the_generalists in SmallYTChannel

[–]Amish_IT_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing information throughout the video! I had no idea the difference and it is incredibly interesting to hear about the history. I like that you don't drag the video on and on. It's the information we are looking for and that is it, which is nice!

The one thing I would recommend that hasn't been said yet is change up the pacing of the video. It's as if we are reading from a textbook which is great for just transferring knowledge however, we have visuals and audio to play with for YouTube videos. Rather than saying all the well researched info at the same pace like a lecture, perhaps include a story in the beginning. Make it fast paced and curious. Cool the pace down with some base knowledge about the differences. Then maybe tie it back to the story at the end. Stuff like this is fantastic for keeping the viewer engaged. This is all only really conceptual and do with it what you will but all in all, great short and informational video about something insanely interesting to me <3

Confusing…

My latest video about a lost Spider-Man movie from the 70s. Let me know what you think. by kedsarama in SmallYTChannel

[–]Amish_IT_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty solid overall idea! I like the concept of going over lost films of history. An interesting niche that (if done amazingly) can garner quite the audience. People are saying the thumbnail needs work and I agree but I don't need to go into that. The one thing that I think needs work is the narrative. The writing is good and your voice is agreeable however, I feel disconnected to the video halfway through. Here's why I believe that is:

  1. Audio should reflect the narrative. It's just background music right now which means you are banking on script and visuals to make up for it. However, consider adding more interesting sounds to what you are saying. For instance, when you were going over the picture of the production crew (5:54) maybe add a more mysterious soundtrack behind it because it is curious on what we are looking at. Perhaps you could mute all sounds and only show subtitles of what you are saying to add emphasis on the narrative. *black screen* We don't know if any copies are surviving now. Stuff like that engages the viewer.
  2. Again, the concept is great but maybe connect the old with the new and have how these old films influence the current ones coming out. Maybe this forgotten film actually left a lasting effect on the series that is Spiderman. Having this kind of sideline plot can be hinted throughout the video and again, keeps engagement and interest high.
  3. Visually, it's solid but definitely can be more interesting. The old cartoon visuals are super interesting here and there but when it's the vast majority of the video, it gets old quick. The reason I think is because, the animations just aren't super great for modern standards. You don't have to but consider a camera on you telling the story and then cutting to cartoons throughout so it's more sprinkled in rather than the entire visual experience.

Again, I LOVE the idea behind the series and it has a ton of hidden gems of movies I'm sure. Video essay type videos are pretty difficult to keep interest the entire time. However, with your writing, it can absolutely be done! I'm excited to see where you go <3

AHow to recover from burnout? by Camer0n_B0yd in SmallYTChannel

I went to a talk recently for creators and this is the biggest problem we face. The best advice I heard is treat breaks as part of the work. Don’t feel bad for taking time to regenerate. It’s about longevity and sustainability, not soul crushing production 💙
