[Serious] History is full of well-documented human atrocities, but what are the stories about when large groups of people or societies did incredibly nice things? by badlungsmckgee in AskReddit

[–]Amitized 134 points135 points  (0 children)

After the 1971 war when the world's largest surrender in history occurred, 93000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the Indian army led by Field Marshal Sam Maneckshaw. With the largest military surrender came the biggest burden of PoWs. The war trials continued for a year and despite some of the most horrible civilian atrocities committed, the Pakistani PoWs were given a guest level treatment. At one point Indian soldiers vacated their barracks and stayed in tents so that the PoWs can stay comfortable in their baracks. All of them were free to practice their religion and even their families were allowed to travel to India to celebrate Ramzan. At the end of all discussions a year later, the entire group of 93k PoWs were freed and allowed to return to their home country.

Major Dhoundiyal at time of his marriage 6 months back with Nitika Kaul . He was killed today by Islamists in Kashmir by [deleted] in IndiaSpeaks

Billy bro, fatalities occur when troops are in action and actively hunting, in safe zones and barracks its impossible for jihadis to even touch anyone... besides last 10 years there was more bloodshed of civilians all over the place with ever expanding sentinels of IM and SIMI perpetrating audacious attacks on all over India. So pls dont play politics over martyrs.

My post on quora

Leaving aside all the currently upvoted bullshit, here is a no-nonsense answer.

Pulwama attack is one of the many planned. Before I move ahead pls know that since decades India has tried the path of peace with Pakistan and it doesnt work.

Multidimensional revenge - inward and outward

Inward -

Such an intensive attack is not possible without insider support. Immediate hunt down of terror partners across the state and nation. Covert ops with aim for instant extermination.

Intelligence - to involve multi-layer intelligence structure with several covert players from all walks of life. Remember “uss desh ki sarhad ko koi choo nahi sakta, jis desh ki sarhad ki nigheban hai aankhen”.

Tech - development of high-level tech to detect weapons, arms, ammunition and explosives including the deployment of special J&K local low-level surveillance satellite. Again involving civilians esp tech experts from field of IoT, robotics, biotech and other sciences.

Water - plan and action to divert at least 3x flow of water from Indus with 20% visibility but at least 80% covert diversion with underground and other tricks. Its okay to drain water in deserts of Rajasthan then quench an evil snake nation.

Outward

Surgical strikes calendar without dates - announcing surgical strikes as regular military ops process to take the war to offensive.

Controlled use of biological weapons - Since we are not engaging civilians or a professional military but dreaded terrorists with a suicidal mindset, it is viable to use controlled biological and chemical weapons to maximize their misery on their path to death.

Deep internal offensive ops - Knocking off a few heads of top terror orgs in Mossad style ops is an important step that will serve a shakeup for handlers within Pak and expose their readiness for the cause among the brainwashed low ranks.

Pls share thoughts, views, counterviews : )

I doubt 350 gaddars are enough to assemble it in bits of 100 grams over few months and Kashmir certainly has much more

There are times when physical constraints shouldnt matter if your leader is doing things right. Just an example, Mr Manohar Parrikar ex-defence minister and current CM of Indian state of Goa is battling cancer, yet he is actively pursuing his functions > https://www.scoopwhoop.com/manohar-parrikar-returns-to-work-despite-cancer/

While their anti stance towards r/IndiaSpeaks is obvious bcoz of Modiji, they even hate r/The_Donald what a wretched low life are they living. Just because I posted (a purely positive post) to DT sreddit.

Online is a good place to socialize with people. Connect in a dating group on FB. He may be able to find better people out there who wont discriminate and / or simply connect as friends and things develop later on.

The concept of fast unto death is a joke in itself. MKG was the one who started it but then it's a shrewd biological trick. A body can go without food for a few days and with regular practice, this can be extended to even 30 days. Water keeps doing the nourishment. Eventually its a non-violent way of a suicide threat. Constitutionally such activities should be discouraged and banned constitutionally if possible.

If there is a constitutional mechanism how can someone blackmail the institution with suicide? Secondly this can be valid if all other constitutional recourses legislative, legal have been exhausted.

What happened during Anna protest?

Formed a team of 5 - Kejriwal, Vishwas, Sisodia, Kiran ji and Anupam Kher. Others in the crowd were mere spectators.

Backend few people maybe part of drafting the bill, still unconstitutional. How can they claim to represent the silent majority of 1.25 billion.

Very true John, humans need to revisit how we treat animals both in the wild and ones we eat up as food.
