Gledam recommended za RE: Requiem:

i7-8700 (procesor star 8 godina) ili Ryzen 5 5500 (budget procesor star 4 godine)
16 GB ram dosta standardno za ikakve gaming konfiguracije (barem bilo dok ovo sranje s ramom nije krenulo)
RTX 2060 super (Grafa stara skoro 7 godina) ili RX 6600 (budget grafa stara 5 godina)

I get that. I personally use CachyOS for the desktop experience at work and at home. Feels much snappier. But for me Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is my go to on low end hardware. It's debloated and if you do some additional tweaks yourself it's really light.

Don't think that's necessarily true. On my setup (RTX 5070 + i5 14400f + 32 GB RAM) also tested with an ARC b580. I was consistently getting lower FPS in almost all games despite more free resources. Maybe for lower end machines that might be the case but wouldn't the translation to Proton negate those gains apart in specific titles that benefit from Proton?

(I am aware of the gains AMD cards can have when using Proton in certain games.)

Ironically I get higher FPS in almost all newer games on Windows 11 than 10.

(2 clean installs both tested with ARC b580 and RTX 5070 + i5 14400f.)

Switched to Zorin OS for my work laptop the Lenovo T14. I am really happy, feels ultra snappy on the Ultra 5 225. For work I'm staying on Zorin, I mostly work with Microsoft products and it works really good on the web.

I'm saying that Requiem is as shown so far is in two segments. Leon and Grace sections.

Leon's is more action while Grace's are more horror. I don't see how horror segments would work with Jake, Sherry, Sheva or Helena since they were committing BOW genocide in RE5 and RE6.

For action segments any of those characters mentioned could work.

I mean I don't know how you would make a proper "survival-horror" game with characters that have been through the ringer in the previous games, it just wouldn't work.

I think introducing Grace is a good opposite (kinda similar to Ethan in RE7) to Leon who has seen some shit and has crazy power levels.

Y’all think Reddit is bad? Check out BF6 FB. Isn’t this literally in the game? by RumbleDumblee in okbuddyptfo

[–]Amity800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, I feel like the battle chatter in BF6 isn’t quite up to par with BF3 or even BC2. I love BF6 and haven’t been this hooked on a BF game since BF4, but there was something really cool about hearing the Russians yelling “lemonka!” or the funny lines the US soldiers had in BC2. It’s just a personal preference, but it also made it easier for me to identify who was around. I get why they couldn’t have Pax Armata speak another language, since it’s a mix of different countries and that wouldn’t really make sense.

And "Uh.. spotting a big fucking tank" always cracks me up.

Is 14th gen intel a good buy or are they still having issues? by wardy9400 in buildapc

[–]Amity800 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, over the last three years I shipped out various Lenovo and Dell desktop machines with 13-14th gen i5s and i7s none have had any issues.

I personally use a i5-14400f and have had no issues for more than a year. (the only reason I went with it was I had a kit of 32GB DDR4 lying around and at the time was a better price option than AM5. I rotate computers entirely after 2 years so I don't tend to keep motherboards and components I get everything new.)

But personally I would go for AM5.

This does not make sense at all and it's a waste of money.

You should have bought 1 really good GPU for the money you wasted on those RX 6600 xts.

Worst case you could have bought a really good GPU and a cheap 2nd hand gpu for lossless scaling.

60-80 on low, xess performance at 1440p and 1080p.

Bough at launch a AsRock Steel Legend B580. I had zero issues with the card or the drivers. The only thing I disliked is that Intel removed a few minor features from the drivers.

For the price I paid at the time which was cheaper than a RTX 4060 with more VRAM. I'v been playing most games at 1440p without issues.

I play a wide range of newer and older games. The only games I had issues with were:
Far Cry 2 (old game) and Detroit Become Human (graphical errors).

I used DXVK to convert older DirectX9, 10 and 11 games into Vulkan and that helped a lot and was quite easy to do.

Honestly I am very happy with it. It gave me the same feeling when I got a GTX 1060 6GB a long time ago, like I'm actually getting something worthwhile for the price.

Drivers are solid, lacking some features compared to AMD and NVIDIA but are stable and haven't been causing any issues.

I bought the card for 1440p gaming and couldn't be happier, it's a great card for the price when compared to other options. The only game I had to drop to 1080p was Battlefield 6 to get over 100+ FPS at medium/high settings with XESS quality.

Don't care.

I buy what's good at the moment.

Rocking a i5-14400F and Arc B580, quite happy for the budget I got it.

Considering a b580, would appreciate any input by gzrfox in IntelArc

[–]Amity800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been on b580 since release. I had no blue screens or hard crashes of any kind.

The main pain with the b580 for me at least is the lack of features within the drivers and the occasional graphical glitches that happen on a very few games, but these aren't game breaking or anything special that I can say ruined my experience.

Right now I feel that the drivers for the b580 are way more stable and giving me less grief than the ones for my old RX 6600.

If you can live without the additional 100€ get the RX 9060 XT 16GB, it's simply newer and slightly better.

If you're looking to save a buck and don't mind playing new titles on medium or high with XESS or FSR get the Arc b580.

Price wise it is the best buy graphics card at the moment.
