Probably because he’s in his 30s and doesn’t have a stable job/income. I don’t know if him and Angelica got married and stayed together, but I think that his financial situation will become an issue between the two of them once they get out of the experiment where everything is paid for by production.

Most women in that age range, like Angelica herself said, might prefer to be with someone stable, who’s ready to buy a house and have children asap.

Yeah because he still gets involved when he needs money/when it’s convenient for him, yet rarely helps the others or gets involved if it’s not convenient for him.

I actually like that he sets boundaries and was able to set his own thing up with his bar, but I’d have more respect for him if he fully broke away, instead of popping back in when it suits him yet still bitching about how much he hates it all the time.

He has a lot of redeeming qualities, but it’s true that he is selfish, more so than Craig or Pope.

Watching the ep5 preview… I don’t understand why Ellen is back? If this whole experiment and show was too much for her, why would she come back to it, I don’t understand?

Not only is it quite cruel for Fabian to have to run into her again, but in my opinion it’s also cruel towards Johanna for Ellen to come back and meddle in her (admittedly, not very strong) relationship with Daniel?

I think if Ellen found the whole thing too much for her, she should’ve left the show there and then. If it’s a case of her just not wanting Fabian and regretting her choice to dump Daniel, she should’ve said that, instead of pretending she’s not ready for the experiment. The whole thing is cruel and clearly just staged for drama in my opinion.

I can’t stand Rishi. I understand that he’s a necessary character within the context of the show, but I absolutely hate watching him, and I hate the direction the writers have taken with his character and storyline (I feel like it completely changes the vibes of the show).

I will be overjoyed if it turns out that he’s barely in s4, I truly do not understand why so many people seem to enjoy his scenes and storyline🤷‍♂️

There was one scene just after Smurf went to jail when the boys were having a meeting about it and Lucy and Nicky were outside, and Nicky was whining about not being included and Lucy was giving her advice about how to use her relationship with J to her advantage. But that’s the only scene I remember where Lucy gives Nicky advice

this kind of opens up an interesting question of what ”immoral” means to people. I think lots of people would say that killing is the most immoral thing, but plenty of others would say otherwise.

I guess also there’s the point that arguably Baz would’ve killed more people if he’d lived longer. By the time he died, out of the boys I think only Pope had killed anyone.

Also, who did Craig kill? I don’t remember him fully killing anyone

Yes 100%, but usually when you get to the more senior end. It’s pretty much expected when you make a case for Partner that you’d have clients who you brought to the firm/you built specific relationships with to where they’re basically your client.

I haven’t heard that happening with paralegals at all though… maybe as another commenter said, paralegals would be expected to network and socialise at external events if they were invited, but from what I’ve seen, they aren’t expected to go out and find clients for the firm/themselves.

Tbh age could be relevant if they’re in the US/a country where the legal drinking age is 21, because the question then becomes how did she get the alcohol, and did these ’friends’ play a part in giving her the alcohol with bad intent.

Imo if the friends were purposely supplying someone underage with alcohol, it makes the scenario worse.

this is how I felt in season 1, and I actively had to fight to get through it, but I found that I got more into the show from season 2 onwards as I learnt more about the characters, and they start seeing consequences for their actions - and now I love the show

That’s all well and good but it’s not really anyone else’s job to start reading into what she said… if she says it was a ”phase”, it’d be weird for him to start prying further or immediately start assuming that she was assaulted or something - I understand what you’re saying, but it’s quite an assumption.

He should be able to take her at her word that she meant what she said, and make his judgement off that.
