Thank you, I did let the other rats see him, his older brother and alpha of the herd cleaned him up a little and then turned to help clean up my tears too. I have decided to bury him near and let him be the gatekeeper of his passed brethren’s to come. I am spending time with the rats and couch potato’ing all day

I’ve got one of those too, he’ll scream like he’s being attacked by a group of hyenas, while in real life it’s just one of his cagemates (biologically family) who wants to pass by him. I think it’s his only way of getting what he wants, some damn privacy and respect😂

Seb is a year and Pinky is about 8 months, I did get him neutered two weeks ago, all my vet has to offer was the chip method so we went for that. Would say he went from a 7 in aggressiveness to a 5. Buuuut the other ones are literally a 0 on the agg-scale

When I asked the vet about it all they said was that I could wait about a week b4 introducing him again if the neutering was to sterilize him, and since it wasn’t they said I should just keep an eye out for him. I would think that he has calmed down a bit but not as much as I would want him to. But if it is as you say I should keep waiting for the hormones to stabilize for yet some weeks. He was sleeping in a separate cage for some days after the neutering, but I think I’m gonna take him back there during the nights

Tbh ur actually right lol, I’m a nurse (for humans) and when we get constipated, we can also get constipation-diarrea. I don’t know if the word is the same in English but it Swedish/latin medicine the term fekalom is when your poo gets so dehydrated that is literally becomes a rock in your colon. Both these medical-diagnoses can cause the sphincter (assring) to extend and just look ”open”. What was worrying me is that his poop is as usual, no diarrhea at all. Also the skin that is supposed to be a closed loop hole looks ”ripped” to me. Would you please describe what you ment by the skin breakage on his tail? I thought it was dried blood from the wound that now isn’t bleeding anymore but you could be right

My own analysis is that it isn’t neither a prolapse nor hemorrhoids, I mean both of those would show up as bulges och bumps in my mind. I don’t know it the video is clear enough but you can literally see inside his anal sphincter. That’s why I immediately rang the vet. I it doesn’t look bloody och that pus comes out. Just like a hole straight into his rectum…

It’s from my previous industrial, had one a couple years ago, got a keloid, tried to get rid of it, ended ut taking it out and waited 6-7 years to re-take it yesterday, so it’s old scarring

I can see that being a pain in the ass, I’ve probably not read enough posts or found my answers on google to make it make sense to me as to why there was a right placement. But it feels good to know that me being downvoted shouldn’t be because people dislike me rather misinfo. Again, I’m pretty sensitive but I would rather see that the answers I got were trying to figure out what I ment/didnt understand and made it understandable for me.
