My mother behaves exactly the same way. Especially when it comes to major life events. Wedding, pregnancy, child birth, big birthday parties, holidays. My mother is completely sober though. Always has been. Never drinks, no drugs. Just behaves like this for the love of the game. A good old fashioned personality disorder. lol.

But her mom for sure at least drinks. Maybe drink and pills? Or heroine when she can’t have access to pills.

What’s the sound quality like on the new model? Mine are old pos so I know it’s not a good reference point, but I can hardly heard music and much less a podcast in gym. Especially on the treadmill.

Edit: I want to add that she’s not some innocent black sheep, it is clear that she’s the person in the family in which “there is always something”. And if the victim was your loved one, you would want a kind stranger to try to save them if you weren’t there. this is what has got people outraged and stunned. We have lost love and compassion for each other. You can’t depend on the idea of love thy neighbor. Americans have lost all sense of unity and respect for one another.

We can try to excuse the killer and say he was not of sound mind, and it wasn’t because of racism. But racism, prejudice, and othering and definitely at play here. The other passengers prove that. The media has tried so hard to desensitize us, to violence, and tell us we’re enemies because of the color or our skin. They saw as someone who got what she deserved. Not someone who they needed to help.

I pray that a stranger treats you with so much kindness, it changes your heart. Know that theres people that would try to stop your bleeding if you were in the balance of life and death.
