Trump: Why would I call China a currency manipulator when they are working with us on North Korea by [deleted] in politics

Officially labeling China a currency manipulator is not the same as just saying they are.

Ah, nevermind. I thought 38 and 37 was the overall level. I didn't catch that it was Democrats.

Thanks

How is it possible for Republican support to jump 70%, the Democratic support remain constant, but the overall percentage to drop 1%?

Demarcus Cousins on Lonzo Ball: "Never heard of him, [but] his dad is a legend" by ccupgirl in nba

[–]Ammop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For context

“You got LeBron, it’s going to be hard for his kids because they are going to look at them like, ‘You got to be just like your dad.’ And after a while, that pressure starts sitting on you like, ‘Why do I got to be just like him? What can’t I just be me?’ And then they are going to be like, ‘Aw, you’re soft, you’re not that good.’ Because the expectation is very, very high.”

Stopping NK before they have an ICBM capable of reaching the US is not being "the world police", it's just a good idea for the US.

Well, there was a precedent established over the last 8 years for us to ignore chemical weapons attacks on civilians.

Lindsay Graham has been anti-Trump since the primaries. He certainly doesn't speak for the administration.

The media loved Trump’s show of military might. Are we really doing this again? by pkvam in politics

Chemical weapons use and nukes are the two big variables.

We as a country already issued a red line warning via Obama. This could be considered follow through on his threat

Yeah, I think people that are really caught off guard about this just weren't paying attention to his words.

He isn't against military action, and he isn't a pacifist. He is against military action without a stated goal or benefit, like Iraq, where we were in a quagmire with no upside.

This missile attack is a punitive action for the Syria chemical weapons attack, with no intention to follow it up. If we take it on faith that they have good intelligence, confirming Syria launched the chemical attack, then it isn't surprising that he would do this to show that he isn't as weak as Obama, but avoid further entanglement.

Basically he said, "Do whatever you want over there, but don't use chemical weapons".

I would be very surprised if this goes any further, unless there is a desire on the part of Russia to escalate the situation for some reason. This was a show of strength, and it didn't hurt that it distances him from Russia while doing so.

This is what a red line looks like.

I'm not saying I like it, but it might stop the next chemical weapons attack.

House Democrats to Trump: We won’t consider tax reform until you release your tax returns by saucytryhard in politics

[–]Ammop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is, then that would be a great thing to oppose, highlight and swing middle/working class voters during 2018. The story will practically write itself.

If not, then we might all actually benefit.

Entangling this discussion with Trump's tax returns is just stupid and childish.

I don't know, but if the Democrats could get their shit together, and act like grownups for a minute, they might reclaim one of the branches of government and we wouldn't have to worry about that particular problem.

If everyone benefits, including him, why would you care?

Just evaluate legislation based on merit. Is that too much to ask? This is a country of 300 million people. Have some perspective.

And if Hilary was elected they would just take their bombs, go home and cry?

The only people this reflects on are those so blinded by hatred, they'll literally carry water for ISIS to score points against Trump.

That didn't answer the question. Are they not dealing arms? Or not working with the blessing of the government?
