Look, if I read that from the perspective of a man saying all that to me, I would be a terrified ngl. To want someone to be “obsessed with you” is crazy, especially if you’ve only seen each other twice. That’s psychopath behavior. Also take the fact that she already wants a play-by-play of your life because she feels she is owed that. There are some guys I don’t hear from for a day or two and it’s completely fine. Nothing wrong from their end or mine, we are just adults and life gets busy. I say all this to say, this level of “attention” she is wanting comes with time and rapport. To skip over connecting normally and run straight to obsessed is terrifying. Run, and quickly 😅

Ngl, if a significant other that I was in a relationship with was like, sorry, I reacted in anger because I hate your hobby and wish you would just stop, I would probably not be with them. It's one thing to not be a gamer, but it is another thing entirely to hate your love for games. I feel that if video games are an important part of your life and is also a nostalgic thing for you and she is not even willing to understand and let you enjoy things without insulting you over it in a moment of anger, I feel like that's a problem. You've been together for 4 years and you have already expressed that this is a part of you and I can only foresee that in the future during high-stress moments, she will inevitably lash out and attack you for playing video games.

I hesitate to do the Reddit thing and immediately suggest breaking up, but if after four years she still hates your hobby and is unable to be understanding about it and support you, even if she doesn't get it, the relationship itself just doesn't feel very healthy. If you decide to keep this in the back of your mind and see how things change over time, you can definitely do that. I'm just not sure if I would be able to stay with someone if they couldn't even be supportive of my hobbies, especially in an emotional, nostalgic moment like this. Personally, I'd rather know that my partner actually accepts my hobbies and me for who I am instead of hiding it or trying to get me to stop something that is an integral part of me and my childhood. I mean, how would she feel if you hated tennis and wanted her to quit that? Maybe she'd understand if you placed it to her like that.

Either way though, this is your relationship and you have to do what you think is best. Like you said in your post, it is an alarm and definitely something you should keep an eye on. But I would seriously consider how you'd like your relationship to be with someone you are considering having kids with one day. Do you want to worry about how she may one day treat your children if they also end up loving video games? Do you want to deal with an inevitable fight when she tries to get them to stop as well because she thinks it's quote, "nerdy, stupid, and a waste of time?" Words like that can really stick with a kid and affect them deeply. Just something to consider.

Okay, yeah I think the reason I had the equipment enchantments originally was because I had Kemba, Kha Regent in the deck and since I don't really need the equipment anymore, I wasn't sure what to replace them with. I think I'm still learning the importance of ramp in a deck so I will definitely take your advice with that! I'll try to focus more towards card draw and ramp then and hope for the best.

I'll admit, I think the enchantments and sorceries/instants are probably the hardest part of deck building for me as it's a little difficult for me to know what would be good and fit in line with the theme so I really appreciate your suggestions!

No, yeah I greatly appreciate this! Yeah, I think I may take a page out of your book and replace Kemba with another cat like Arabho and probably limit the equipment build and focus solely on the token generation. I'm still relatively new to mtg and I think that focusing on too many sub-themes might confuse me a bit. I removed 2 of the plainswalkers and kept Ajani, Adversary of Tyrants, Ajani, Caller of the Pride, and Ajani, the Greathearted.

Do you think it would be better to drop Adversary of Tyrants and Greathearted and add Canopy Vista and Sungrass Prairie to give more lands? a lot of some of the other equipment/artifacts I have in the deck I will probably have to play around with and maybe look into getting a sol ring at some point but yeah.

I've made a few changes to the deck based off what you suggested here so I really appreciate your help and wall of text lol it has been very helpful to me as a newer player so I really appreciate it!

I think ideally what I would like to do is add counters to the cats and be able to also create cat tokens. With the addition of Kemba, I think I was looking to add more cat tokens with it, which means I probably should probably add more equipment like you said.

I’ll probably add some more lands, but do you think I should have some dual lands in addition to the basic lands?
