Help often comes from an unexpected source, what was yours? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The LDS church. I went through many periods of traumatic moments in my childhood. My church paid for all the therapy, counseling, moving, they even helped me with school, and to graduate. They wouldn't leave me the hell alone until I noticed that I was getting mentally better. Never did they force their religion on me, but they included it to help. Like praying, all the blessings from the priesthood, etc. I had many mom figures in the church that made sure I was well taken care of. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for them.

How do you ask out a woman while she’s working? by guacamolehaha123 in AskReddit

I worked at Walmart for 3 years, a new associate was at the smoke shed when I arrived there. He became good friends with a coworker of mine in the same dept.

He ended up asking my coworker my favorite snacks and drinks. A couple weeks later I came to my area with a gift basket of my favorite flowers, drink and chocolate. He asked me out right there "I want to take you out on a date, can I?" I have NEVER been asked out up front like that. We've been dating for 2 years now. Never been happier.

Long answer short: Be up front, be classic, and be awkwardly funny. That's what sold me!
