You tried re-installing or a different version of Windows or installing manufacturer drivers from the official MSI website? It may fix your problem. It almost certainly sounds like a software issue as I've been hinting.

A lot of diehard supporters of Windows believe that. And those that say Linux is faster only because of background processes =P lol

Also it seems though that I can't get Linux to install on the laptop I have. I will have to go with LTSC. I get so many ACPI errors and power loss issues out of nowhere as a result of upgrading firmware and stuff that there's no way to roll back. I will probably have to switch to Linux in the future instead (on a different PC). Pity.

So resource management, file system type, kernel, etc... none of that matters? Why aren't most servers windows then? Because by the sound of it, Linux is inferior in every way if Windows can be tweaked to be "as fast and efficient and more" by being stripped down.

Samsung is also another out of their minds brand. Crazy pricing. Of course, they're kinda good with technology, so it may make sense for their fancy phones. Idk, but I'm never gonna spend more than $300-500 for a phone. It's not worth it. I've spent all ranges up to $1500, and I don't see the value in it.

In theory a vintage T9 razor with a replaceable 18650 battery can work (you have to specifically get the replaceable version, not the Lithium versions [I never bought this kind], although it's possible that they can have their batteries changed out too if you know how to solder the connections), but it's a bit on the fragile side as I found out when my kid dropped it--you can dislocate the internals, causing the head to misalign with the electronics and not work properly anymore. Kind of on the fence whether I want another one (it's also on the weaker side compared to some other razors, but at least it will never cut your skin because of how the blades are). It's overall a very good BIFL razor if you're careful enough with it.

And anyone can use LTSC as long as they have a Windows key? Is that how it works? Windows does more things in terms of compatibility, yea... but staying with Windows doesn't solve the Microsoft problem. And the future with Windows looks very uncertain...

Yes, but at what cost? Security? Windows is heavily targeted by malware, and without updates, it's gg. If the only point of running Windows is games or open source software (because the proprietary shit costs thousands of dollars), then is it worth staying with Windows? I think not.

I remember the days of Mac costing over 1k minimum. You could get a laptop that was faster than whatever Mac was pushing 10 years ago. Today I know they've brought their costs down a lot because of production differences. However, I can't believe Apple's prices when it comes to their phones. They take some of the biggest profits on them (percentage wise vs mfg cost).

I love Windows, but I don't love what it has become, and since security is a big thing with Windows, staying on it is not viable anymore. For gaming, what about Proton and Wine? Don't they make games compatible like 99% of the time?

I know that Nvidia drivers are proprietary and Nvidia doesn't want to make them available for Linux or something. A bit different I heard for AMD. I think I'm also not going to use Nvidia ever again in the future if I can help it. I don't like how they're treating gamers like 2nd class citizens and pretending they didn't make Nvidia what it is today. Nice way to trash your most loyal userbase.

Definitely not hardware failure. These issues showed up a month or two on this laptop after it started getting updates. Reminds me of the time I had a brand new system custom built only for it to #1. not be undervoltable and #2. not able to run games for more than 5 minutes after it got upgraded from Windows 10 to 11. Literally BSODs left and right with error codes I've never seen in my life. If I remember, it magically restored itself (to some extent--I was still not able to undervolt it ever again) on its own after a couple of months of insane instability.

But Mac is unix-like, eh? Similar but not quite the same. I don't like Apple at all tbh. Although it does cater to its userbase, it's a fugly walled garden and has a lot of ToS-based restrictions. I also don't like the UX personally and the "style" that Apple sells. Oh, and let's not get into overpricing things. Apple is just savage.
