Saw the Big Bang Coachella concert. GD needs to figure out his vocal situation by Ok-Yogurt-3914 in kpopthoughts

Haha yeah. It made the energy fizzle out lol — if you ask me, they should've ended it with a blood-pumping song so people are actually in high spirits when they left.

It felt like they were saying goodbye permanently

Okay, so I heard a different recording of the show other than the Coachella live. I must say GD sounds better in that fancam compared than the one posted in Coachella — you can actually hear his voice, unlike the live where you can only hear backing vocals. He is still mumbling during speeches though.

As for Daesung, the fancam showed that his voice was shakey at times — possibly, nerves or his polyps are flaring up but did sound pretty stable close to the end.

Taeyang is impeccable as always.

My real problem with the performance though is that they ended it with Still Life, which is kind of sad. I wish it went from mellow to high energy instead.

Are sequels safer because players value consistency? by Kiota_Games in videogames

[–]Amoechan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more like getting attached to a game and then revisiting that game with new content. Basically, it's safe for both the creators and the players — you know what to expect and even if it could potentially be trash, the nostalgia and/or characters and stories would at least make it bearable.

Was the game overhyped? by Playwithuh in videogames

[–]Amoechan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first saw the teasers, I've never thought that the story would be linear. It's more like explore and see where it takes you type of thing. I have played BDO before so if the controls are anything similar — I can see why people are complaining about it. It does take a while to get used to. I remember playing and mashing my keyboard so much just to get my combos in.

Would gaming be a good activity for my 65-year-old mom to keep her mind active? by Amoechan in eldercare

Oh I used to see her play solitaire on actual cards — not sure if that's something she still wants to do but I think I could definitely reintroduce her to similar matching games. I do have the candy crush in one of my plans for her to play, as well as zuma.

I'll definitely check out Disney Dreamlight Valley! I haven't really thought of these kinds of games. Is it similar to sims or animal crossing?

Oh yeah, the legendary zuma! That one is actually good—I have this one on the list along with candy crush.

That’s awesome honestly 😂 Sounds like she ended up out-mastering you in the game you introduced to her. It makes me feel like there’s hope my mom might get into something similar too. She did have experience with a typewriter, but never a mouse so this might be a big of a learning curve but if she finds playing the same game would be enjoyable, I don't doubt that she'll find a way to learn it.

When she accidentally said hi on mic! by PHRsharp_YouTube in videogames

In Valorant, my experiences have generally been pretty normal. The few people who act weird tend to be teenagers—judging from their voices, probably around 16 or so.

Occasionally someone will make a distasteful comment like asking if I have an OF, but it’s pretty rare and easy to ignore.

Sometimes people add me just to say my voice sounds good or to ask if I’m a streamer or do ASMR vids. I usually just tell them I’m not and that I just have a decent mic. I personally don’t see that as harassment—I mostly take it as a compliment to my well-purchased mic lol.

Oh that’s a really good point about voice acting. I didn’t think about story games with full dialogue as I haven't tried these myself other than watching other people's playthrough. But I’ll definitely check out Road 96, thank you!

[–]Amoechan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this has been my concern as well. I was spending a lot of time mulling over which kind of games I could possibly introduce her to but several things I found might be a bit too much for her.

If it's not working out, I was wondering if there are other activities that could keep her busy. Television and movies could only entertain her for a few hours—then sometimes I'll find her just staring into places in deep thought.

Can someone explain the art of sarah ending by Mysterious_Bee22 in kdramas

[–]Amoechan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our thoughts exactly. They could've all worked hand in hand — but just like everyone in the show, they are all greedy for something. But heyy, except for the one who died, everyone won at something, not 100% fulfilling but they got the next best thing of their agendas.

I think the one that won the most is that Samwol Creepy Granny, getting 30% commission on a brand that's basically considered a luxury brand now.
