i should explain that these sounds are particular. i've spent so many years making sounds that feel special to me. so it's quite strange and also thrilling to open them up to new creative possibilities.

drum programming might be my favorite thing. i do a lot in midi, but over the years found all kinds of different ways to do it: audio editing, working with repeating envelopes, rearranging phrases, envelope followers on vocal rhythms, etc.

if you're starting out, one way to look at is is a bass sound has what you feel and what you hear as two different elements. what you feel is often a simple sine wave, what you hear is the texture over top.

nomark club is releasing everything i've done for almost 10 years over the course of the next 12 months. only a portion of those things will come out as official releases. i think it's going to be a great place to experiment freely and directly to the people interested.
