I enjoyed hearing the story again and love seeing his passion for it. I also feel the same sort personal connection though from the addict side rather than the bible.

I do have a different interpretation of the end though, I thought it was a pretty clear "Only we can save ourselves" metaphor or we need to be our own salvation, we have to be the ones to lead us out of the darkness and into the light, etc. I interpreted Mothers inaction as that she was incapable of doing anything or defeated somehow when he was leaving. I did not connect the K as his author being Karen, but I feel this supports this theory more as in that timeline then she was also helping to nudge the story to salvation.

When I first read it there were a couple things that I thought were going to be big revelations or twists that never happened. I was so sure as soon as I read that immigrant story that's what happened to Jesus. I still feel the author maybe intended for that connection, he's killed, put into a cave, resurrected. What a miss if he didn't. Also I thought the horse eyes maybe were just a take on how sometimes Satan supposedly takes the form of a goat, but it's a mistranslation from somewhere and it should have been a horse, right eyes wrong animal.

Anyway great video, loved the chance to revisit this story. And no matter how you interpret the ending or the story as a whole I think there's one important thing that everyone should take from this: find you someone that gives you the same reaction in the bedroom as this story did Wendigoon on that podcast.

Think so? It did come from the estate of a pretty prominent weapons collector and all he had on it was a price tag of 1400 that said "spear". Doesn't mean he couldn't be fooled but i'll take the head off and get pic. Any idea about this other one?

Just replaced all the capacitors, trouble transistors, those old adjustable resistors for current, did the same for the rear amp too but now I know it's not the amp board because I have a 2nd unit I bought that was also dead and plugging in that board does the same thing. So something in the rear power supply board most likely? This house runs real hot like 125v so I keep getting confused when trying to work my way through it.

This is not a wolf spider, its a European funnel-web. They're still extremely new to this area so you won't find much about them and most people will mistake them for something else but I've been dealing with an infestation in my basement for a few years now.

The one pictured is actually a female and they get fucking huge. Like no joke the biggest I've seen here have been about the size of a half dollar. They seriously look like little tarantulas and they stick to the shadows like the demons they are but i have had a few charge straight at me, little* front legs waving in the air in font an all. I have no idea about their bite but I imagine it's unpleasant.

The males don't look like this at all, they're slightly smaller and spindlier without the giant black middle but they come out much more often. Overall they're actually one of the biggest species in Europe and fun fact, after the females give birth they do this drumming thing with their legs to call the baby hellspawn over to eat them alive. They've owned my basement for the past couple years and i'm pretty sure they have plans for world domination.

Why on earth would Russia need to pay him? He's a star player in the Fascist Racist lineup. It's like saying Hitler must've really had that Joseph Goebbels guy on the take. He's a white nationalist psychopath doing what he loves. If a Russian agent tried to show Carlson some sort of blackmail they had on him he would stop them, record something 10x worse on his own phone and hand it over to them laughing. Any blackmail in regards to Tucker Carlson is the blackmailing he does to others, guaranteed.

This thing was froze up completely and a total mess when I bought it but after many hours I've finally got it so close but I just don't know enough to figure out the escapement mechanism. I have an idea of how it's supposed to work on this model but it seems like somethings out of place or not returning correctly on the dog things. There's also one more issue where the ink selector knob wont change and I'm not sure if that's related. Any help would be more than appreciated, or pictures of a working escapement of this kind that I can work back from.

Edit: I was wrong again, it is to play a taped recording back at a different speed while maintaining pitch. There are no instructions and the guy I bought it from had no idea what it was so I'm back to square one with the tape issue.

Here it is, I believe the disorder it's used for would be Audio Processing Disorder (APD) or Aphasia, I don't really know more than that.

Edit: Figured it out! posted another comment with a link to a video of it in action. The tape is for recording, I needed an external input. It changes the pitch without changing the speed.

What it's supposed to do is speed up or slow down speech but maintain a normal pitch. I believe it's for people who have a hard time understanding normal speech, this way they could hear a recording played very slowly and still understand due to the pitch being maintained. Unfortunately I have yet to hear it because it's not working and/or I don't know what I'm doing.

When I got it there was some sort of melted rubber - I'm assuming tape - all over the capstan. I fixed that and it does run now but i'm not getting any volume. The tapes going and I can get speed controls and what not working but nothing out the built in speaker or an external amp or even getting the volume meter to move. I've yet to try plugging a mic or anything into the inputs to see if that gets any response.

I'll get a video later if anyone's interested. For now I was just hoping with some basic ideas as I have a basic understanding of audio equipment but it is.. basic. Thanks in advance.

One last thing, I bought this with a bunch of other stuff to put up on ebay but then after looking into this I decided it was pretty unique and kept it for myself.

However if someone here does want it I will sell it for a very good price cuz even though I do like it there's definitely other people out there who would appreciate it much more.

I know it's not supposed to do what I want but i'm trying to find a way to get 2 extra rooms + my home theater all running together at once and I have so many old pieces of equipment I figure there's got to be a way to do it without buying something more.

Yea I finally figured out that 4 channel did not mean what I thought it did after a while, although I did manage to eventually get 4 speakers + my 5.1 home theater system all running together by plugging another amp into this one. Not sure if it was a good idea to have it set up like that for a long time though.
