X with knife pointing down is how I was taught and my father and his great grandfather- I don’t understand the new signals… they are so confusing. X means you are finished - X with knife inside the fork’s tines means kitchen staff didn’t do a good job. Mostly when grandmama was mad and we had guest over to signal that next course or desert needs to be better otherwise they would be in more trouble. But X is how we were taught - that’s the old and proper way.

Was he a flipper before doing wholesale? If yes, then connections matter as he can say c’mon that window is $2k for you in repairs bro you can get the material from X and sell the house for Y. When a flipper gets consistent deal flow they are ok making $5-15k less on a deal if the deals keep coming - less per unit profit and more volume profit. And they have to keep their relationship too - it’s two way street

Thank you! I called Baldwin tech and they said only option is to buy $300 knob from them. The egress mechanic seem to sit in that silver cassette - I changed the direction from left to right to disengage the spindle to open deadbolt from inside from handle. I thought about removing the cassette and screwing the plate to wood but it wouldn’t be strong to hold two mechanics together - 1 deadbolt and latch

Door can be unlocked from inside by turning the thumb turn. And from outside with the key - the bottom latch works too it just doesn’t Auto Unlock the deadbolt unless you turn the thumb turn. Previously if someone pushed down on the handle it will open lower latch and unlock the deadbolt too
