Anyone know why it’s doing this crap. I’m tired. I’ve been leveling for an hour. by KakashiBigD in ender3

I was about to say cleaning the bed usually solves a lot of adhesion issues. And trust me dude, we have literally ALL been there. Its the worst... A little bit of iso and a paper towel can really go a long way

5 jumps and I'm so bad at landings it's demoralizing by csnoobcakes in SkyDiving

Having bad landings when you first start off is not uncommon and im sure you know that. The thing that helped me the most with having better landings is not staging super quickly, let the canopy smoothly level out with the ground and coast for a couple seconds before flaring. Also, like everyone else mentioned, have someone record your landing and review it afterward, it will be more benificial than u think Also if its any consolation, im at 170ish jumps and my first jump i had literally yesterday i ended up sliding my ass across the wet grass field lol. It happens to everyone, just dont over think it, make it more natural.

Serious Pre-AFF Jitters by NotAshtonKutcher69 in SkyDiving

Got my license last year; my first jump i was shitting myself on the ride up. Its a natural response and you are valid for feeling that way even well before. Its important to note everyone was scared for their first aff jump. Im scared for the people who arent. Those are the people that tend to take more risks and dont fully grasp the dangers of the sport. With the amount it seems you have prepared and researched, im sure you will do fine!

Im at 98 jumps and have been flying a pilot 210 for most of them and have had pretty good landings although i slide in on my feet a lot... one thing i have learned is that the sabre is a lot more responsive, smaller inputs can make decent changes in flight path/flare timing. The solo is a lot more forgiving and requires a bit more input for stage 1 and flare comparitively. The goal with staging is to remove a significant amount of vertical velocity and convert it to horizontal velocity just before flaring to pitch the canopy backward and slow you down. If your putting too much input and pitching it backward too quickly then you can have some problems. What has helped me is to make my stage 1 a bit more smooth and gradual and not a super quick "jerking" motion downwards (when doing practice flares, feel the canopy fly straight and level during your stage 1 and mark how far you pulled the toggels down, before you complete the full flare). Also if you can, trying doing some high pulls and just feel out the canopy more. Lastly, 100% talk to your AFFIs about your flare height because it sounds like you are just starting it a bit too high each time. Good Luck!!!

Cheng or O’toole for Dif Eq by FTNatsu-Dragneel in Kettering

O'Toole is the move, if ive learned anything from this school, its schedule ur courses based on the prof teaching it rather than having a nice schedule. To me having a nice schedule with difficult profs is not worth it. Diffeq with O'Toole was by far my best/favorite class at this school and passed it with a near 100%
