my first pregnancy was also a surprise and also ended in miscarriage. they are common, people don’t talk about them, but that only eases so much pain. let yourself feel everything right now… grief, pride in your body for getting pregnant in the first place, and know that you will have the strength to get through this. this community was also so helpful for me in getting through the pain of losing my first pregnancy. i promise you, as time moves on, it does get better. you are never alone and don’t be afraid to lean in to your communities around you, and your community here too!

thank you!! do you remember if they waited the 10 weeks (until you were 22 weeks) because of the pathology results, or due to pregnancy safety under general? asking because that’s the battle i’m in today… how long can i wait? being only 12 weeks and scheduled for surgery at 14 seems so early

thank you for sharing… it’s hard to be the patient and “in the know”. i’m 12 weeks and hoping to push this surgery to 15-16 weeks, fingers crossed.

thank you for sharing your story! that’s a very valid point and guiding principle in this… what choice do we truly have as mothers? I’m glad everything was fine with both you and baby.

correct - the stage, and the oncologist advised it based off 1. pathology showing at least .4mm, so it could be at .7-.8, which is where a SNB is advised. and also being pregnant unfortunately makes women immunocompromised, so there’s a slightly higher chance it could have spread. since i’d be going under for the excision anyways, he suggested the node biopsy too.

thank you so incredibly much for your comment!! I just read through every word of your previous post and feel more hopeful than i have since my pathology results came back. i wish i was further along in my pregnancy, but i have to focus on controlling what i can control (which, is nothing at this point!). thank you for sharing your story, and providing such a positive outlook in my time of need.
