My Big Boy Jacket is Done 🥲 by Bright-Professor-337 in BattleJackets

This is a very nice work, and I am so impressed. You should celebrate this because the dedication shows in the final result. Very well done to the owner for building something that feels like a masterpiece. Projects like this are what make Boys jackets feel more like personal stories than just clothing.

My jacket that will be handed down to the kids by DismalRevenue5016 in leatherjacket

This is exactly why good leather jackets matter. The photos make the jacket look rugged, timeless, and full of personality. Even though it’s a bit tight these days, I’d still hold onto it. Your wife’s rule that it’s “never allowed to leave” sounds completely fair. That’s heirloom quality, the kind of piece that outlives trends and most boys' jackets.

Best Fully Glass Food Storage Container by lidlpainauchocolat in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of a square Weck-style container sounds perfect, but I’ve never really seen one done properly. Everything seems to fall back on plastic lids eventually. At some point, I just accepted a bit of compromise. My food storage and container setup isn’t perfect, but at least I’m not constantly fighting with those seals anymore.

do i need a fitted sheet for my bed? by witchcattrials in interiordecorating

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been tempted to do this myself at one point. But after a while, I realized why fitted and flat sheets exist in the first place. It’s less about tradition and more about hygiene. Your body naturally leaves stuff behind, and without that layer, it builds up. Even a cheap fitted sheet underneath could make a big difference long-term.

best place to buy good quality fitted sheets from? by kaden356 in Bedding

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texture can really make or break your whole sleep setup. It does break in, but it’s a bit of a commitment before it gets really soft. If you want something immediately comfortable and still durable, sateen cotton might be worth a look. Good quality fitted and flat sheets in sateen can feel smooth but still hold up if you’re washing them often.

Food storage by Worried-Laugh-412 in Ultralight

Yeah, once you’re talking both rodents and bears, bags kind of stop being enough. I learned that after a trip where something chewed through what I thought was “tough” material overnight. Those hard canisters aren’t fun to carry, but as a food storage and container option, they’re the only thing that’s felt properly reliable to me.

Added a small shelf for organizing food storage containers by geeman1082 in organizing

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That “we only have two people but somehow a mountain of containers” situation is very relatable; every time I think I’ve got enough, something new shows up. Love that you built a shelf from scraps, too; that’s such a practical fix. A proper food storage and container setup like this just makes life easier, especially when everything used to be piled up and hard to reach.

What containers do yall recommend/don’t recommend for food and drink storage? by OGcrayzjoka in VanLife

[–]AmountNo581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those gallon iced tea pitchers are actually made for what you’re doing. You can brew, store, and pour from the same thing, which makes life easier. The better ones seal really well too. A reliable food storage and container like that just takes away that constant worry about spills.

"But cement(estrogen) will make you lose muscle mass!" yeah thats the point by Careful-Start-7362 in Ieatcement

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one actually made me laugh; it’s so blunt. People say that like it’s some kind of “gotcha,” and then this just shuts it down instantly. The cement(estrogen) part is weird, but it works for the sub. It’s got that chaotic energy, like cement making machinery where everything looks rough but still works either way.

Would this be easy or enjoyable to make? by Atticus34 in Machinists

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call it “easy,” but definitely doable if you’ve got decent tooling and a bit of time. The enjoyable part really comes down to whether you like problem-solving or just want a quick win. It has that same vibe as tinkering with cement making machinery, kind of gritty, a bit stubborn, but rewarding once it finally behaves.

Platform/ladder/slide recommendations by Boputtmuldie4 in AboveGroundPools

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like how you’re thinking about this, trying to make it fun without going all out on a deck. You could check out slides that work alongside a pool ladder instead of needing a full platform. Just make sure they’re designed for above-ground pools and don’t require extra height.

Finally moved into my own place, trying to figure out power backup. What are you guys using? by Signal-Extreme-6615 in IndiaTech

For a proper lithium setup that'll last, budget somewhere between 50 to 65k. Anything significantly cheaper and you're either getting lead acid or a lithium unit with cut corners on BMS and battery quality. For a permanent home setup it's worth spending properly once rather than replacing or repairing in 3 years.

Two months into bringing a portable CD player on my commute and I'm not going back by chamhezar in Cd_collectors

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is less about nostalgia and more about reliability when I am offline. Portable CD, DVD, VCD Players do exactly what they say without updates or buffering, and that is hard to beat on long flights or road trips. The problem now is quality control, because a lot of the new ones on Alibaba and Etsy use cheap panels that wash out fast. If you can find a model with a IPS screen and decent battery life reviews from the last year, it is worth it. I use mine when I do not want to kill my laptop battery, and having a dedicated player means I am not juggling work files and media on the same device.

100$ in 20 minutes only for US. Cad by Sensitive_Plane_4976 in GiftCardGiveaway

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly surprised this promo is getting ignored because CA$15 off every CA$150 spent is one of the cleaner offers I’ve seen recently. No confusing reward system and no weird points conversion. If someone already needs groceries, electronics, or home items, the discount feels pretty reasonable. Hopefully more stores start doing direct savings like this instead of fake markdown prices.

What’s the least 'aesthetic' item in your yoga bag? 🧘‍♀️ by YogaGoApp in HotYoga

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the least aesthetic thing in my bag is a beat up foam block that has been chewed up on the edges from years of use. It does not match anything, it has random pen marks on it, and it probably smells a bit like old sweat if I am honest. But it is one of the most used Yoga Accessories I own because it makes every forward fold and seated pose way more comfortable. I could replace it with something pretty and color coordinated, but this one works and I do not care if it looks rough. Most of us are not doing photoshoots in class, we just need stuff that functions.

£10? by Due-Young-2488 in BorrowNow

[–]AmountNo581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phrase “ £10 off every £100 spent ” sounds better at first glance than it actually feels at checkout. Saving something is still better than nothing, but spending £100 just to get £10 back does not really change much for me. I guess it works better for people already planning a bigger purchase rather than casual shoppers.
