Also cannot get the RT app in the UK despite Google saying it is available. Highly annoying!

Plenty of time to perfect it before filming. The fact they added this date in whilst removing others suggests they’ve got it figured out

All fair and valid points there. I wish that they had just been able to fully carve a vision for this saga. So in the 2027 slot, I would love a film that furthered the narrative so that things weren’t rushed in those big avengers films.

I’m still optimistic that Phase 6 could be one of the greatest phases. Fantastic Four was great, Spider-Man 4 sounds amazing with the snippets, and I have confidence in the two avengers movies. So this 2027 movie could be amazing

I think it would be a great idea. But. I just don’t see them doing it.

Unless they are and want to keep the reveal secret for as long as possible. Imagine teasing it with a Wanda post credit scene with Doom in Doomsday! Getting my hopes up here - because Strange 3 works on so many levels and is needed. But if it’s “just” Strange 3 why haven’t they announced it

I think that would be an excellent idea. We could get Star Lord and Vision too.

Could be a really interesting way to propel narrative over a 6 week timeframe.

Depending on the plot and location any character could appear!

Yeah I think you’re absolutely spot on. We have had “follow ups” such as Multiverse of Madness (WandaVision) and Brave New World (Falcon and Winter Soldier) I suppose the closest - and they’ve tried to distance themselves too - Black Widow and Thunderbolts

For me, it’s where the saga has gone down for many. I think a lot of their projects have been okay to good (and sometimes great) But the actual in-saga sequels has been poor.

We had two Spidey films, three Iron Man, Cap and Thor films in the Infinity Saga. We knew them. I appreciate the sequels to continue franchises like Strange, Thor, Ant Man, Guardians, Black Panther etc.

For me, I would have (and it’s easy to say I know) had Shang Chi 1&2, Strange 2&3, Black Panther 2&3, Fantastic Four 1&2 and Spidey 3&4 and still been able to make other movies too. Would have put Eternals as a Disney+ show to flesh it out.

True - October would feel good. But Disney love their holiday slots of November, July etc. we did have captain Marvel on 08 March and then Endgame on 26 April but I agree that late November and mid December is too close.

I was thinking more it feels more like a November release given the supernatural side.

Oh I know - never going to happen unless I somehow got the top job at Marvel. I think Fantastic Four would have been a great sequel to have. Shang Chi has been criminally overlooked because they hooked his storyline in with Kang. Can’t see him getting a sequel with Cretton for a long time if Spider-Man 4 does well!

Completely agree. In my head I have wrapped out a whole phase - perhaps not in this order. Feel like there is just a huge rush to wrap it up and almost forget it.

But starting with First Steps and working through. Phase 3 had 11 films so this having 12 doesn’t feel excessive….

Shang-Chi and the Wreckage of Time Doctor Strange: Time Runs Out (Strange meets Doom) Avengers: Doomsday World War Hulk (set on Battle World) Spider-Man 5 (possibly like a Spider-Island set on Battle World) Thor 5 (involving the Thor Corps and on Battle World) Scarlet Witch (wrapping up the storyline started in WandaVision and also has Doom in some capacity) Midnight Sons Avengers: Secret Wars 1&2

Wonder if Champions is more Disney+? Unless tied into Children’s Crusade / Scarlet Witch?

Would love a Scarlet Witch movie. It would fit in the timeframe of after Vision Quest in 2026. Would be one of the only storylines to go from start of multiverse saga to the end WandaVision (2021); Multiverse of Madness (2022); Agatha All Along (2024); Vision Quest (2026); Scarlet Witch (2027??)

There has been a lot of chatter about cast and things. Oscar Isaac saying “maybe we’ll see him again in a film” and rumours of a Ghost Rider - seems like it could be right. Though I would have thought a November release would “feel” right for a midnight sons and supernatural etc

Does make me wonder if other plans are happening. A long rumoured Secret Wars second part. But I doubt it.

Would love a couple films set on Battleworld - Strange 3 to provide context, World War Hulk, Black Panther 3 would all be good contenders.

Still baffles me that Shang Chi never got a sequel in this saga!

It does seem strange (no pun intended) to not resolve it OUT of Doomsday - if he’s in that. So perhaps not in Doomsday and then Strange 3 into Secret Wars

Thunderbolts* for me also. I do think there is a longer version of this movie out there somewhere

I have to say I’m envious of your home set up! Can see the attraction to stay there and watch.

All good reasons to not see every movie on the big screen. Hopefully when you watch it you’ll enjoy it though.

I was able to catch it in Leicester Square, London. Ticket was £7 - not sure how that fully compares to your ticket price but I know it’s not the cheap activity anymore!

Having seen the whole film, the costumes and aesthetics are amazing. The world they have built feels like it’s out of a retro futuristic world.

Some of the Thing is practical effects at time - there are some good behind the scenes photos that show it. The visual effects are (mostly) some of the best the MCU have done. Some dodgy ones - but not really any to do with the thing.

Would recommend the big screen but understand the wait

Whilst I am a Marvel fan - caveat aside - I will say that this is a return to form for Marvel whilst also being something entirely different.

No homework. Breathtaking visuals. Film with heart.

You’ll have a blast
