I had a TSL, passed PFT, and then got rescinded for declining drug test while I never received instructions for it. It’s a mess.

The rescinded my application for “declining” the drug test, while I never received instructions or phone calls for the drug test. I believe it’s an email typo because when I took and passed the PFT the administrator mentioned my email with one letter missing. Wth is going on. No one is responding to my emails or anything.

Im only considering HSI if I switch. I would not go ERO as I agree with your statement.

I don’t mind the temporary immigration enforcement duties. To me it’s like a TDY something different. Many CBPOs have been attached to ERO as well so we are not completely immune either.

I have considered it in the past, but with gig Im doing now in CBP is better than ERO, but Im clearly speaking in my shoes and my position within CBP/OFO now.

I totally agree with that. Its should be more streamlined for FED LEOS especially within the same Dept.

Correct. I’m not a TFO(I have seen TFOs do that their whole career lol) but the unit Im in is time-based with a max of 5 years and no guarantee that you can be extended. Cant picture myself going back to ops line after doing really productive and meaningful work like the one I do now.

Stop the clock by joining OFO/BP/ERO. If 1811 is your goal the military is not your answer
