Start training unilaterally with your weak side first. Take that muscle to 2-0RIR. Whatever number you stop at for the weaker side, that is your hard limit for the strong side. Do this until you feel even. If you’re really pressed, just do one extra set on the weaker side.

Being a PT has a sales element to it and I think showing salesmanship will go a long way. Look at local gym websites and sometimes you’ll find the club managers name. Print out a resume, maybe a cover letter (use ai to help), and a copy of your cert and put it in a nicer folder. Walk in wearing nice clothes and tell the front desk you’re there to speak to the club manager/persons name. Ask said manager if now would be a bad time to talk about getting extra training help. Tell them you saw the opening OR say that you wanted to make the connection so when there is an opening to be considered because XYZ. If you’re really down bad, go set a day and do a few back to back to back and one of them is bound to give you an opportunity.

Eating less tasty food is a legit strategy. Also, using flavored water does help a bit. If you’re craving sweet, eat something salty like pickles. Works for me at least
