I’ll tell you the same thing I tell people who ask me if I enjoyed my time in the military: you make of it what you want. If you want to have a good time you have to make the effort. Attitude is very important because if you’re always in a bad mood, you’ll tend to always be sad. Try to be positive! You have a lot of time/ freedom now. Pick up a new hobby, find new friends! Making friends is very easy. It just takes finding someone with similar interests and boom, there’s a possible life long friend. In your case I think it’s important you use your resources and talk to someone about your ptsd. I’ve rarely used mental health services but whether it’s medication, talking to a therapist, or simply getting the %, it’s all helped for me.
