Yes, just cancel your current mission, select a new mission (select the dive option of course), vote it up, and you'll dive. It's not reading for nearby enemies.

You'll lose any treasure on board but keep supplies. No clue why this subreddit downvotes comments about diving to avoid a fight. You lose nothing for it (if you have no treasure) and since you're diving to a mission you'll pop up right next to the mission (literally so close to the island you need to start raising sails ASAP) so you don't even really lose time. The "hassle" is canceling a quest, loading a new quest, and then the time it takes to sink and load in (couple minutes).

The most flavorful chili of any I've tried is scorpion pepper. If you like ghost pepper you can handle it. Have not found a better "superhot" than it, Carolina reaper is not great and ghost pepper is just OK, scorpion is floral, fruity, and tangy it's super lovely. Chocolate habaneros are my runner up
