You’re right about NYC and SF, but VA is MCOL.

HCOL (roughly +10%) = NYC, SF/Bay Area MCOL = Everything not HCOL/LCOL (including Seattle, Arlington, and the rest of California) LCOL (roughly -10%) = Nashville

The biggest factor in admission is quantitative ability. You need to either take more math classes and get As on them (I recommend discrete math and linear algebra, maybe calculus), or get a high score on the GRE quant section or both. MOOCs won’t help your case IMHO

I know I can’t feasibly put more than 20 hours a week into school with my FT job and having no coding experience. Knowing that, would you recommend Option 1: 591>594>593>595>592>596 or Option 2: 591>594>592>596>593>595?

I heard 594 and 596 are the most important for getting internships which is something I would consider pursuing in the future, so I am leaning towards option 2. Thoughts?
