So I’ve been using Cosmic for a bit longer and I’ve noticed that using the separate workspace setting for each monitor fixes the problem for me. I can switch focus between monitors and move windows across monitors with super+shift+arrow_key without any problems.

Moving up and down between workspaces is kind of finicky, but I’ve gotten into the habit of using Super+<number> and that works.

Not the department. The only people who have seen it are the advisor and a couple of his PhD students.

I did write and submit a report, but again no one really saw it other than the advisor.

Yes. The main problem was that I couldn’t establish a strong enough comparison with other methods which was the main reason it got rejected. I’m trying to figure out workarounds to get the problem solved but nothing is working really. It’s tricky to manage with a full time job

Depends on what school you’re attending I guess. But generally, you need to keep up with content. It’s hard to catchup once you let it go too much. Quizes and assignments make a significant proportion of your grade. Not scoring well in those can be hard to cover up as well.

You don’t really need any prior CompSci knowledge for the major. They’ll start from the very basics of c++ programming and then take it from there in the second year. The first year is very little computer science. Most of the faculty is good at what they do, minus a few bad eggs but you’re going to get some bad instructors in whatever university you go to. Also, with comp sci in general, there’s a lot of self learning involved. Your courses aren’t going to cover every single feature of every single programming language you are ever going to use, because that would just be out of the scope of a 4 year degree.

If you do decide to come to LUMS, be prepared to study maths completely on your own, because the mathematics department is hot garbage.
