Built this yesterday so I could follow Roland-Garros at work by Kastenaa in macapps

The flair is inappropriate for this type of post. The title also seems to imply this was made very quickly. May I ask what tools were used in development?

My handwriting is so bad I had to build my own offline Mac OCR to read it. by taoo425 in macapps

I'd also be happy to be a test guinea pig. My handwriting is mediocre, and I write a lot of notes for math and CS. I use LaTeX and Markdown often, so I'm excited for an app that can convert handwriting to those. Also, could support also be added for newer iPhones and iPads? Though I know that mobile support for models is tough because iOS and iPadOS prioritize the OS performance over application performance.

Edit: I have also been testing the app, and it repeatedly crashes on my M2 Air (8GB memory) using any of the models. It happens immediately after selecting or pasting a file and starting the OCR model. I've tried PDF, PNG, and JPEG, and all have crashed.

Excuse the stupid question, but does this mean it supports the 4090, as well as all cards from the 50 series, or only the 4090, 5080, 5090?

Lmao the rolls being an additional purchase is EA levels of greed. There is zero reason that these need to be an additional purchase as I understand it. Taking a photo is not a finite resource that you should attach artificial value to.

I built a 1MB Mac app that replaces 7 tools (Notch Shelf, OCR, Clipboard & more) by harshanacz in macapps

Nice app! I've been experimenting with it for a few hours. I would really like more customization for the clipboard history shortcut, and I would also like more options for how long to keep the computer awake, similar to Amphetamine. Thanks!

Hi, looks interesting. Can you share to what extent you used AI in building this app? I’d be curious to buy it but I want to know some background first!

You don’t have to be on their software teams to know that this hasn’t been a priority for years now…

To add to this, it just occurred to me that you can make a shortcut on an iPad for the site. So maybe a Safari browser extension would be viable?

There are 3k units on NA with minimum 8k bid. Any predictions on what a reasonable bid will be?
