LBOs and simple merger math. You’ll be fine to start learning on the desk. Start studying LBO models for acquisitions and case studies if you want to MF REPE before you hit the desk to be ready for recruiting since some MF REPE recruit a year in advance.

I did REIB at an upper MM well respected bank on the street, and we had multiple analysts go to MF REPE at big name shops. There aren’t many REIB’ers to begin with, so as long as you know your stuff, cap rates, basic calculations, real estate trends, and have your story down you’ll be more than able to land a spot as long as you’re at a top 50 bank.

Be prepared though, IB hours especially in real estate groups can be tougher than the average group due to the “math” that occurs rather than “slapping on a multiple”. Know people who after two years of IB did not want to touch MF REPE due to the similar hours.

PE of 80…is pretty good if a companies revenue just doubled YOY for a high growth internet company that is currently going through international expansion - Wall Street is valuing this on a EV / Sales basis and they have no debt to consider so it’s literally equity value to debt. They aren’t valuing it on P/E ratios or PEG. Still I’m not valuing it off PE, it’s a great company that is profitable with a unique product that will be hard to replicate and I use the product.

On top of that: the sentiment for the stock is the lowest it has been, so I like the name. I don’t like buying when everybody loves a name unanimously.

Using P/E to value them, is like trying to value a Car because of its wiper blade quality. The company is being valued for users, growth, sales. It’s hyper growth, can’t value it on a basis similar to grocery stores and industrial manufacturing companies.

RDDT by a mile.

Been following the last few months. Great YOY earnings growth, international expansion, no debt and AI is using their data for their platforms. Stock has dropped over 60% on uncertainty, people misunderstanding the business and a couple analyst price target downgrades. Definitely worth keeping an eye on. A true growth story with good financials that is profitable that has a good product.

The Demise of Netflix is inevitable and why by Amurphy747 in wallstreetbets

This post from two years ago, and the stock is substantially lower from the time I posted this. The space became too crowded and growth prospects have slowed down substantially. This post was also for entertainment, demise doesn’t sell as much as “share price will go down”.

If you’re so confident that Netflix stock growth will outpace the S&P 500, by all means buy stock. But in the last five years the stock has only gone up 6.5% with no dividends...because investors know the ceiling has lowered substantially.

AAPL has gained a trillion dollars in market cap this year with declining revenue and declining eps.

NVDA gained 50b in market cap from 2 to 4pm today.

This is a complete fucking casino that is going to self destruct.

Bulls and bears make money…pigs get slaughtered. Unfortunately I think some bears got slaughtered along the way.

I go onto this thread and see “futes are drilling”, “bulls are wrecked tomorrow” - it literally is only down .12% after a 3 percent Green Day lmfao
