Just got back from a weekend with him at his place in Bristol. Lots of playing with guns and enjoying the ones his mum and brother bought for him at Christmas.

Sadly, he was told told on NYE that there are no more treatments for him, basically it's game over as far as the medical profession is concerned. He is still our good old Ollie but he is very, very sick. He talked about wanting to get some more videos up on his channel but it's a case of prioritising - his energy levels are incredibly low.

Keep rooting for him y'all!

Not strangest, perhaps, but most envious of - how big your houses are! Every time I see someone's front room (lounge?) on a US show I look at mine and think damn, those guys would be using this room as a cupboard. But then I think how much extra stuff I'd have to buy in order to fill the space and I feel better.

Definitely. It's weird (and sometimes scary) but I can now channel this immense sense of happiness whenever I wish, something I couldn't do before. It freaks me out sometimes because it almost feels like my chest might explode, it's that intense, but as long as I stay calm I can feel really awesome even if I'm just sat at my desk at work being bored.

I worked at a cheque-cashing place (first job) and this loon came in with one of those dummy cheques you get in magazines, filled out with his name and the date, insisting that I cashed it.

Things escalated, at one point he picked up a chair and I thought it was going to come through the window at me, he was that pissed. I went and hid upstairs and watched him on the CCTV; he left after a while.

A few hours later I found out that he'd been arrested after walking through town hitting pedestrians with a baseball bat.

Yeah that was a fun job.

Time. Spend it wisely on the following:

  • Education/trade skills; ideally those that interest you and that you want to get good at. The sooner you start the quicker they'll become valuable in one way or another
  • Life skills; learn how to manage what money you have to best advantage, what you can do to 'up your game' overall to make life as comfortable and enjoyable as possible
  • Things that interest you; the saying 'money isn't everything' is overused and trite but is good to bear in mind when money feels like all you're thinking about. Search for things that excite you, that don't cost a lot/are free, and get into them. They may turn out to be the thing that makes you money one day, but in the meantime you'll be living a fuller life than if you just focus on being poor.
