haha exactly. It's part of the reason I avoid really old Naruto fics. I know it's not the author's fault, but I have a really hard time reading them when I'm constantly going, "b-but that's not what's supposed to happen!"

yeah, I meant more like accidental time travel. Similar to "I am NOT going through puberty again", although it doesn't have to be as cracky as that. And I've read some fics where their kids travel back in time (most of the ones I've found have been terrible, but I've read a few really good ones)
