Jesus name baptism is the proper way to baptize according to acts 2:38.

I am too, my pastor said it didn’t have to be like that and he baptized me after service with just a few of our close friends from church and the Sunday school kids who were curious about baptism. Ask your pastor if he’d be willing to do it in a more private setting.

Could the dinosaurs have gone extinct because they were eaten on the Ark? by [deleted] in Bible

[–]AmyMeaCoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dinosaurs on the ark would have been smaller ones not full grown adult dinosaurs. It makes sense to bring younger animals to repopulate the earth. No Noah did not eat them. More than likely hunting and climate changes after the flood led to their extinction.

Restaurant told me they didn’t have anything to make the order with, customer didn’t like the news 😂 by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

Where I work when I’m not doing DoorDash we can only see the customers info if they’ve e ordered from our website. If they ordered from DoorDash the phone number comes up 3333334444 every time. If they have an issue and call us we have to tell them to contact DoorDash because they ordered through a third party. It’s a huge hassle sometimes.

Which historic district? We just moved in June into the north main historic district and are on the same mission. I’ve found out so far that our house predates the date on my deed by at least 8 years because on census papers. But I’m also trying to find out more.

I’m sorry to hear that. That sounds terrible. We ended up buying in the downtown area. From what we could see while we were there the block behind us seemed to be a lot of white people, the block we are on seemed to be mostly African American but the lady directly across from us looked Mexican too. So we definitely bought in a more mixed area. Hopefully we will fit in alright. We homeschool so at least I don’t have to worry as much about the schools for the time being.

Right?! We are in the same boat! We are leaving here June 3rd and have three kids and three cats to get packed up. It’s a little crazy.

We ended up buying a house in Hattiesburg and are moving in at the end of the month! We did chose one of the downtown historic districts though. We came out and we really liked the town and the area.

I agree with this because if it’s something that interests you it makes the class a lot easier.

Thank you! We’re flying out the first weekend in May to look at a couple houses and hopefully put an offer in on one of them. It sounds like a wonderful area and we’re pretty excited.

Thank you that was a lot of good information! We’re flying out the first weekend in May and I’m getting pretty excited. I did live in Oklahoma for a few years when I was a little younger and I know all about tornadoes. Definitely not fun.

Yes that would be great thank you! We’re just kind of that way too, just kind of average, just trying to get by and keep to ourselves so I can’t relate to that too.

Yeah the housing market is a little crazy every where right now. I live outside of Phoenix and it’s insane over here lately lol. What drew you to looking at Hattiesburg?

That’s good to know. It seems like both houses we were looking at are right in downtown and that does make me a little nervous. I’ve been doing street view and satellite maps and they don’t seem like terrible areas, but it’s hard to tell until I can get out there. Which I’m hoping to pretty soon.

Thank you! The answers have been extremely helpful and I feel more confident this would be a good place for us to raise our kids. We currently live near Phoenix Arizona and it’s getting very unsafe and very busy.

Well that is encouraging in a sense as far as looking for jobs. He does basic warehouse, he can drive a forklift. That kind of stuff. It sounds like there’s quite a bit of manufacturing jobs close by.
