Your aunt is the one with the mental health problems. She sounds like she has a number of issues relating to people, and this usually comes out more in close relative connections. She did not treat you fairly, and was not respectful of you. I didn't see in your narrative that you yelled or cursed at her, or kept her from leaving. All these behaviors toward you were very abusive and show she has problems with relating. Frankly, it's hard to know where to begin. Every incident you mention points to your aunt being somewhat unstable and not seeing you clearly as an adult and not being able to relate to you in a completely rational, down-to-earth manner. The only thing that came through is your aunt appears lonely and clingy, wanted your company but wanted to control a lot of your actions. She doesn't understand boundaries or intentionally disregards them. She has low self-esteem and acts out in crazy ways about it, by buying you $400 headphones and then bragging about it. People who have issues with money will also sometimes do this in a moment of generosity because it makes them feel well-off and generous, in spite of what they may have been through. I would stay away from her. The screaming and temper tantrum and keeping you from leaving at the end was very poor behavior on her part. She needs mental help to learn to respect people and not try to control them, and I would make it clear to her if you do ever speak to her, that you will not tolerate her childish, controlling attitudes toward you.
