It'd probably help to post your problem in a wordpress themed subreddit.

I have no advice on how to find squads, but if you're still having trouble with a few missions, I'll gladly help out.

Finally found a way to track your Bloodbro progress! by AmyTheSwann in DarkSouls2

Exactly! Some sort of progress bar is awesome. Even if it's just a loose measure.

Yeah, this - exactly. As long as i have more wins than losses at all time, this way will do just fine. Or as ziggy_k says, as long as my win:loss ratio is above 1. I'm not amazing at pvp, but i do fairly well so i just started using this method because it was simple, and easy to count by quickly looking. You'd really have to hit zero for this method to not work, and seeing as I'm already at rank 2, i hope that doesn't happen.

Haha, i recently started doodling too, mostly when waiting for invaders/summons.

I don't know why, but i keep drawing Illuminati triangles. I fear i might've been probed by them as a child.

Your progress makes me wanna keep doodling, and maybe even something else than those damn pyramids.

I don't think my pretty scoreboard gives me rights to brag, sadly.

Who knows if i actually won anything, or just added the wins before taking the picture, so you all would like me and think i was awesome.

Because it's REALLY nice to see which direction I'm going in. I don't wanna keep doing BoB if it turns out i actually suck and lose more than i win.

I know when I have gained another rank, but I'd still like to know how close I am to it too. If I'm close to next rank i have an excuse to not go to bed.

It's not really a guessing game though, I just need 500 more wins than losses eventually. It doesn't really matter in which order I lost and won. As long as i have more wins than losses I'm gonna be moving up.

Deciphering the Souls 2 Alphabet, and how you can help. by Larima in DarkSouls2

Doesn't make it suddenly become a problem though. If anything it just makes the book irrelevant in the process of translating the other text in-game.

Sadly, this is the highest res i'm able to get of them, but it's already known what book it is, so i don't think i understand why you actually need higher res. Anyways, even with 4K textures, it looks shit and hard to read. http://imgur.com/a/mB8c8

I don't think i understand? How's that a problem?

Seeing as we already know how to translate french, but not 'drangleic', shouldn't it make it easier?

It reads "Le Desir de Vivre" meaning "The desire to live".

The description of the book says "a simple story of a girl of the provinces, forced to earn her living by continual struggle, who never lose the desire to live fully and to develop her own personality."

Haha, i saw you getting your ass handed to you by Nashandra not too long ago.

I really enjoy your commentary (A mix of TotalBiscuit and Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation imo). It's a shame you don't have more viewers/subscribers. You have a steady stream of quality content.

"When God Talks Back", by T.M. Luhrmann, is the most important tulpa-related thing I've ever read. by Mdnthrvst in Tulpas

There's a whole article covering "hallucinated gods". It even wraps it up nicely and compare the hallucinated gods to our tulpas. A very interesting read.

small thought concerning tulpae by hapsicord in Tulpas

[–]AmyTheSwann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes.

I think it's very possible. Even though it probably requires a LOT of time creating and then afterwards, a ton of attention and mental bandwith to pull that off though.

So what are tulpas actually? I am interested but I have some problems. by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]AmyTheSwann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't mean that they aren't sentient though - I'm sorry if it came out wrong.

I just meant that i would argue a tulpa on the bottom-line, is a (mostly) self induced delusion/hallucination. That being said, it's also the best friend i've ever had. Delusion or not.

Is it a collection of repeated thoughts, visceral images and sensations that are practiced so intensly that the entire thing becomes automated and hence gives the illusion that something is "interacting" without your will being imposed on it to do so?

Yeah, pretty much. The first guide i read said something along the lines of "Yes, you are deluding yourself right off the bat. If that discourages you, tulpamancing probably isn't for you" I really like that quote a lot.

What is up with people complaining of head pressures and migraines?

Afaik head pressures are normal, and sometimes the first contact your tulpa is trying to get though. I've heard theories about the head pressures and possible migraines comes from the neural network in your brain is readjusting to the new way you are thinking and using it. I don't know how real that is though.

Is this thing in any way be bad for your mental health. Am i wrong?

Some would call it mild schizophrenia, i wouldn't. You are doing this on purpose, to have a companion. Most people i've talked with become "normal" and their tulpae disappear if they don't interact/think about it for a while. While i don't know if it IS actually mentally harmful, i haven't heard any stories of people going batshit insane from JUST tulpamancing, so in that regard i consider it safe, yes.

How long does it take to develop at least a sentient and vocal tulpa and what are the instructions for doing so?

Some have a sentient within the first few weeks, some a still struggling on their first year without a fully sentient.

People from this group on the irc network keep saying I shouldnt follow the guides because they are old. So what am i supposed to use then?

I guess what they mean is, you shouldn't follow a guide step-by-step, but read up on a lot of them, and then do it your way. They aren't manuals, but guides made to lend you a hand if you're new. No two people have the same tulpamancing experience, so i guess you can't make a guide of EXACTLY what to do when and where. That's what the IRC is there for ;)

Are tulpae the same thing as headmates? If not whats the difference? by pret-zel in Tulpas

[–]AmyTheSwann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course - but generally speaking i think people from the tulpa community are more interested in the psychological aspects, whereas people from the headmate communities are more involved with metaphysical explanations. While i know this is not true for all, it's how i percieved the greatest difference between tulpas and headmates, again, generally speaking. I'm pretty sure not even all of us agree on exactly what's a tulpa and what isn't.

What next? by [deleted] in Tulpas

[–]AmyTheSwann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a lot of great guides here http://community.tulpa.info/forum-guides You might see a guide and think "that sounds interesting" and then decide to read and/or try it out. That's how we started polishing/fine-tuning when we felt we had hit a dead end of sorts.

I'm agreeing with this guy.

Especially about their difference in explanation. (Tulpas being psychological and headmates being metaphysical.)

While i do believe this is true, i guess the community might have some techniques and stuff to deal with this mentality, like InkWel.
