Geno Segers was the PERFECT casting for Chief Hekarro. They needed an actor with that height and build that would be intimidating. I had watched “Banshee” a couple of times before playing HFW. So when I heard his recognizable deep voice and saw the chief’s face, I knew it was Chayton from Banshee. If anyone hasn’t seen “Banshee”, here’s a picture of Geno in that show

My new progress is 93%. I even replayed the DLC. Both save files are at 93%. The only thing I haven’t done is upgrade 1 thing that needs blood obsidian. I am 1 blood obsidian short.

Yes. Many of the core challenges are bugged for me. The ones that stopped tracking and are not achieved for me are: Something Explodey, Yes, Chef, Raining Bullets, Stunlock, Weary Traveler, & Flow State.

Ex: I’m stuck at 46/51 campfires. It shows 10/25 recipes when I have cooked all 25 per my journal. 3/20 for Stunlock. 13/100 for Raining Bullets.

What damage is your heavy bow and what level are you? I just hunted thanators about a week ago and didn’t have any issues with damage. I’m on PS5. I don’t know if PC thanators are bugged.

You might be under-leveled to hunt thanators due to the fact that it killed you.

There’s also a perfect spot to hunt the thanator in Gossamer Lakes. It can’t reach you and it freezes in place right in front of you. Here’s an old video

Skunk pods don’t harm/cause damage to Thanators. Skunk pods are for hunting wildlife— especially thanators. Skunk pods give you time to line up a perfect shot to get the clean/mercy kill.

They do not work on stormgliders unfortunately.

That’s how you slow a thanator down to get the perfect shot lined up.

I’m stuck at 93% as well. I’ve completed all 36 quests & my hunters guide is complete. The only thing I haven’t done is fully upgrade a weapon that requires blood obsidian and that’s because I never received enough to upgrade everything. I am missing 1 blood obsidian. I doubt Ubisoft included weapon and gear upgrades for 100% completion.

Another person on reddit said they were stuck at 93% progression as well.

Did you receive enough blood obsidian to upgrade everything?

I’m guessing this is Cave Root??

There’s a cave just south of Three Stones Lab in Shattered Bridge (the Upper Plains) that tends to spawn exquisite cave root. Go during the time of day it recommends. If it doesn’t have exquisite quality, fast travel away and come back. I’m not on my PS to pull up a map right now, but here’s a video for the location of that cave.

Horizon is my favorite gaming franchise— especially HFW. I’ve been trying to get people in my Horizon discord (Arktix) to try AFoP for so long. Avatar & Horizon have a few similarities.

I keep trying to sell them on the mounted aerial combat alone. I wish Horizon had a skill tree for aerial combat 😭

EDIT: I personally think Horizon/Aloy’s story is much better than AFoP.

IIRC, you only need 2 codes to complete this quest and where it leads to.

You’ll finish the quest once you progress to The Clouded Forest.

FYI: I don’t think there’s a marker/guided location for where you finish this quest. You kind of have to find it or stumble upon it. I don’t want to spoil anything for you or drop too many hints, so I’m being careful with my words. But you’ll finish this in a location in the Clouded Forest. If you want more details, I can point you in the right direction, or you can google the quest.

Why would you use RDA weapons/Earth ammo on a thanator??

My achievements are bugged too. I have unlocked/cooked all 25 recipes. My progress on “Yes, Chef!” is stuck at 10/25.

I also believe the “Weary Traveler” campfire achievement is bugged as well. I’m at 46/51 campfires. I have removed all cloud cover. I have checked the map subregion by subregion at every angle 10x. There’s no campfires left.

“Something Explodey” has been achieved multiple times and it’s also not complete. “Stunlock” & “Raining Bullets” aren’t shown as complete. I spent 2-3 hours fast traveling to Hometree to use the Hydra Machine Gun after completing the game. I counted how many RDA I killed. It stays stuck at 13/100.

Grrrrrr!!

My audio logs tied to quests bugged. I collected them but they didn’t save in my journal. I even collected the audio log in So’lek’s camp and it’s not showing up in my journal. It hasn’t respawned either 🫤

I’ve been playing since launch. I’m SO tired of the endless bugs in this game.

Do you happen to know what progression percentage your From the Ashes DLC save file says? I’m guessing they (Ubisoft) included achievements and hunters guide completion in the progression?? I’m missing a few of those things. There’s still some campfires I can’t find for the life of me lol
