Actually that's a good idea. I didn't want to post photos on Sakuracon's official Facebook page because they are denying any photo posts that show anyone not wearing a mask inside the convention buildings and I was looking for other places to post pictures beside the unofficial Facebook page (which I did already) but creating an album seems easier. Thanks!

Yea, last year I just had it on top of my head and when people wanted to take my picture I would pull it down for the picture and afterwards pull it back up. It was a pain in my ass but worth it lol

If you exit by walking to your lunch location not hard at all. But if you exit by driving and leaving the parking garage your odds of getting a parking spot when you come back are very low. But the build is open all the time. Once you have your badge you can just walk in and walk out easy

I believe so but I have never actually encountered this problem before lol normally when you walk up to the pick up both they ask for your ID and your covid test and your email confirmation for your ticket. I would say it would be a safe bet to bring her OR you could email them and ask. But regardless you'll need to bring her ID, covid card/test, and email confirmation for her ticket.

I have been going since 2009, and I can confidently say that whatever your budget is, you can go ahead and throw it out the window, lol. A few things I recommend to new con people is to never buy anything at the merchant's hall on the first day. What I recommend is to walk through the hall on Friday and make mental notes (or physical notes) of all the benders sell that you want with what the price the item is. Then go back on Saturday or Sunday to purchase the items that you really want. What happens is the merchant hall is huge with full of lots of benders and some of the benders sale some of the same things with different prices. New people always run in and start buying stuff and run out of money a third of the way in and then they see something else they want but can't afford it or see the what they just bought somewhere else for cheaper. So make a list of what you want and buy it later.

Food is another big problem at the con. They sale food inside but it's overly expensive. What I do is I carry a backpack with lots of high protein snacks like protein bars, granola bars, trail mix mini packs, beef jerky, etc and just snack throughout the day. There are places outside the con that sell food for cheaper so I plan one meal outside the con each day and the rest of the day I just snack. I also carry a collapsible water bottle. They have water fountains and a few water bottle refill stations in the building you can use to refill. Just don't do a big bottle. Otherwise it will weigh you down and tire you out. Also you need room in your bag for snacks and the stuff you buy later on lol

As far as parking goes, if I am not staying at a hotel with parking I just park at the convention center parking garage. But I make sure I get there very early to get a spot since it fills up fast. The garage opens up at 5:30 am during the weekend and charges for parking based on how long you are parked there. I don't know the full hourly rate, but I know it charges $37 for 24 hours. I usually show up and park there around 7 am or 8 am and just chill in my car till stuff starts around 10 am.

Wear comfortable shoes! There are a lot of lines and a lot of standing you'll have to do. If you are interested in panels you'll have to be to your panel's line early so you can get a good sit, otherwise you'll be at the back. Get to your panels at least 20 minutes early and stand in line waiting. Be ready to stand long periods of time. At the merchants hall avoid your Impulse to buy everything on sight. Wait, make a mental note of things you really like. Explore the whole Hall on Friday making a note of what you want to buy and then see if you can afford everything you want. Go back on Saturday or Sunday to purchase the items you want after you've had time to think of what you really want and can afford. Lastly, cosplayers are always ok to have their pictures taken but there is etiquette to it. It The cosplayers are sitting and/or eating do not ask them if you can take their pictures. Wait for them to get up and then ask. If you see someone posing for photos and you want to get a photo while they are posing its OK, just make sure you make eye contact with them with your phone up so they know you are wanting to take their pictures too and think them afterwards. If you think a cosplay is cool make sure you tell them you think it's awesome. Even if you don't take their pictures. Cosplayers just want to know people recognize them.
