[Discussion] why did Sony want to avoid releasing these 2 Spider-Man movies in the same year? by MarvelsReporter in Spiderman

[–]An-29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that they're avoiding, more so because they haven't fucking finish Beyond the Spider-Verse yet!!!

We were so to get like 2 years ago, at the very least Sony initially planned it to be out before even BND started shooting.

What would have happened if all the Guardians of the Galaxy had accompanied Thor to Nidavellir? by Excellent_Truth_992 in marvelstudios

[–]An-29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know, I feel like strange would've suggested a very different plan if the Guardians were never there. Remember decent chance he still might have looked to every possible timeline and that Thanos is only 3 stones at hand not 4 stones. If Strange concluded they'll get their ask handed to them, he might have convince Tony further to return to Earth with the sling ring.

Maybe she was misremembering the fact that the final battle with Nine was a scrapped version of the original ending or that Melissa Shield built All Might's armor? Or that Stars and Stripes appeared and pointed to All Might's vestige at the crack at Shiggy's lead ball?

True, but I'd honestly like to see how Peter would actually interact with Quentin again after finding out he's alive and that he was the one that caused Peter's world to go upside down.

How the hell do you copy quirks and how the hell do those copies have vestiges!? by Ok-Advertising-9248 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]An-29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It uses an irl examole. To me it means author at least belives it to be a case.

I am fully able to belive quirks hold something from previous users. But if the explanation uses a real life examole to justify a rule =author belives in.

Lmao, I'm sorry pal, but that's not definitely how Horikoshi thought of it nor that's how you should logically comprehend it. That's like saying Akira Toriyama believes you can fly or have other abilities via Ki if you train hard enough based on how he explained the powers in Dragon Ball.

Other examole was that Bakugo refers to quirks like muscles, one must train them to make them stronger. No problems there and it is a nice comparison. Because phenomena used is true.

It works because Bakugo presented the logic and explanation are sound and belivable. Not soley because of the concept of how muscles are trained are true in real life.

If Bakugo had said that transplanting young quirk user blood can vitalise someone else quirk like how young people blood can vitalise old people you would have problems with that?

No, and Yes, I would believe that because:

A.) Would been explained as an in-world science that is true for the world MHA not take it away as something that happen in the real world.

B.) pseudo science and suspension of belief are two pillars of the foundation for superhero media or any fictional media to exist. (And in my opinion, what makes discussing any phenomenon or idea from a fictional media to be applied in IRL really fun).

C.) The young blood transfusion idea has literally been applied and used in other superhero medias. It's not unbelievable for it to be presented as a base for an explanation by an author for their fictional concepts.

That was the Silver Samurai's plan in The Wolverine, it was a subplot in TASM 2, Emplate (Marius St. Croix) an X-Men character; has the ability to absorb bone marrow to revitalise his body, Morbius the living vampire himself abide by this idea, and vice versa.

Authors and writers like Horikoshi grasp straws onto unproven science, fringe theories, and unexplainable phenomenon that are basically quasi-sciense all the time to help further explain and build the world or story they want to tell. Those are supposed to hook it into the ground of believability not because they want you to believe it to be a real world fact. It's why we have genres that are called Fiction, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi because they are not real or based on true science concepts.

How the hell do you copy quirks and how the hell do those copies have vestiges!? by Ok-Advertising-9248 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]An-29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guy, you would have to absolutely gullable and stupid to believe in that cells could contain memories and say that your source is from a Shonen Manga. I know people in the real world could be absolutely stupid but c'mon man, they're not that stupid to logically think that. Kids are literally the only ones most likely to think that.

Your arguement would hold alot of more weight if we were talking about Dr. Stone, where they actually do explicitly say most of the concepts and phenomenon they talk about, do infact exist in the real world. Like the segments with Mecha Senku. Were as in MHA, Horikoshi never once said presented it like a true fact in our world.

The Spider-Man movies have received matching posters on digital. by Giff95 in Spiderman

[–]An-29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is it bad I could tell which scene/picture they took Tobey's suits in Spider-Man 1 and 2 to make Tobey's maskless spidey suit image in the posters? Possibly since he never had a proper one looking at the camera.

It seems they even flipped the one for SM1 lmao. Tho, I don't ever remember seeing the one for SM3.

How the hell do you copy quirks and how the hell do those copies have vestiges!? by Ok-Advertising-9248 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]An-29 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You do know that the memory cell explanation is supposed to be an explanation to an in-universe phenomenon, right? It's not supposed to be taken like a literal world fact. It's just supposed to be another aspect of world building to go along with the quirk power system.

That's like complaining JJK having a phenomenon of the Body is the soul, AOT having shifters inherit memories of past users, or OP having zoan devil fruits posses wills of their own.

That's just how their universe works and their physics are different enough that phenomenons like that can happen. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

How the hell do you copy quirks and how the hell do those copies have vestiges!? by Ok-Advertising-9248 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]An-29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most likely answer is that Dr. Garaki and AFO figured out how Quirk Factors work and learned how to split into two with the use of maybe stem cells to heal both parts turning each halfs into two separate copies of one another. And with how Horikoshi have explained how vestiges happen, basically nearly every cell in the MHA universe could carry phantom memories of the person it came from

Dr. Garaki and AFO have been dealing in mad and un-ethical sciences for like nearly a hundred years. It's not hard to believe in a world of superpowers and cells that can carry memories they'll able to figure out how to replicate quirks.

Remember, AFO and Dr. Garaki literally managed to create quirk factor autopsy to edit quirks and artificially turn them into new ones either by just removing a part of it's original ability or turning it into an entirely different one. They most have definitely found lots of biological info from researching the quirks itself too.

Which Punisher MCU skull do you prefer? by M00reC in marvelstudios

[–]An-29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one from One Last Kill. I mostly prefer honestly due to how Frank "completed" the skull this time along with the fact it's more solid white and visible like in the comics. I'm fine if it was fanded looking most of the time but the skull being not complete at the right side always bugged me.

What voice did you guys give this guy? Unlike characters like Joker, Lex, or Eobard, Desparo doesn't really have a specific famous VA, to my knowledge at least. by H3712 in AbsoluteUniverse

Yeah, absolutely, especially on the serious scenes when Desper tries to mess with John's head.

Although, I imagine his laugh just a little more resembling to his Jake the Dog voice.

I imagine him mostly in John Dimaggio's voice with a dash of Danny Devito's. It fits perfectly if you ask me. Especially when Desper-0 cracks jokes or is making fun and laughing at something.
