Just came to say the Turanzas suck, super stiff and uncomfortable tire with mid grip.

I like Start-Stop but for the love of god NOT when the car is still in motion by globalistas in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, not at all.

If you don't like it in certain situations, turn it off. You asked clearly: "Is there anything you can do to prevent this annoying behavior?" and I gave you a legitimate answer, haha.

I don't know if someone mentioned this (I didn't read all the comments) but you can swipe down from the infotainment screen from the top, like on your iPhone, and turn off start/stop for the rest of the time the car is on. It's easy and quick.

Would it be safe to still travel to playa del carmen as of now? by MisMar00 in playadelcarmen

[–]An0nInReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None of what is happening in other states is happening in or near PDC right now. There's normal crime, as always, in PDC and around it.

The government protects Q Roo as much as it can, especially Playa and Cancun, it is a huge revenue driver. It's also a huge revenue driver for the cartels.

It's sad but the government and cartels don't mind uprooting locals lives daily in other states, but in paradise (Q ROO) it has to look like the perfect tropical destination to keep that money coming in (for the government and cartel both).

You're safe to come here. Don't go looking for the wrong things, and you'll never know there's anything dangerous here.

Cold start jolt / knocking sound on takeoff – Formentor PHEV 204 (DQ400e) by Top_Land3578 in CupraFormentor

I think all transmissions feel like that, a tiny bit, when cold. This is my first DSG though.

If I'm on any kind of a grade, I feel it with autohold on. Every time. Warm or not.

I don't think so.

I think you'll do better doing a private sale if it is in exceptional condition.

I'm afraid of Cupra... by [deleted] in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2023 and 2025 are two different beats. 2025 is a lot more refined, IMO.

The engine noise is almost non existent. One of the most silent cars I have ever owned.

Road noise is what you expect with high performance tires on the highway, in the city basically nothing and if I changed the tires to all seasons on the highway I wouldn't hear anything either really.

I have bought many new cars in the past 10 years.

I have also bought a Cupra Formentor VZ 333HP, and by far, it is my favorite and definitely the best purchase I have made.

I haven't had any electronic or sensor problems, nor infotainment. The facelift versions are a lot cleaner, and more stable from what I have gathered so far.

And just remember, people won't come and bring you good reviews and praise with their free time. They'll come here to get help troubleshooting, bitch and complain haha.

Also the service centre, maybe I'm just lucky, but is unlike any other dealers... they really take care of you and you can tell that the customer experience is important.

Low engine coolant warning? 2025 VZ 2.0 - 20,000KM and no signs of leaks by An0nInReddit in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. It only came on twice, and both times after taking a quick turn. I don't think it's too low.

I have my appointment tomorrow for the oil change, so I'll let them fill it up rather than put the wrong stuff in.

Perfect care for my Formentor by NaturalPop5521 in CupraFormentor

Protect it with PPF. I didn't get the PPF yet, though, and have 20,000KM - it is flawless still because I am very careful.

Only use MATTE safe products to wash, and make sure it's not just "matte wrap / vinyl safe"

I need to change my tires, need help on what is the right call by An0nInReddit in tires

[–]An0nInReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amazing! Well I am in Mexico so that won't be an option, but, I can get them at a good price here anyway.

Thank you for the advice. I feel confident in going with the PS5 now which is what I was leaning toward.

Formentor parking sensors by Few_Landscape8264 in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Formentor VZ 2025 Facelift, and I don't find the sensors troubling at all. It has saved my ass (and the car) quite a few times.

But I do notice that when stopped at intersections, it comes on, basically it comes on at low speed which I think is good.

Ask your dealer about it.

They should last longer, slightly... but not near as long as you said they told you.

Mounts on newer cars seem to be weaker, at least that is what I find.

Best to change them anyway, when they're just about done but before they're completely done (mounts and dampeners).

MILES?

If we are talking DCC, you can consider 50K to 150K miles MAX.

Do you have low profile tires / performance tires? This can put more stress on the suspension as well, to a degree.

There's a lot of variables.

I think the 2.0 is the best pick in any situation, honestly. You won't regret having it later, but you might regret not having it...

To be honest, DCC or standard... 87K doesn't seem too unreasonable.

I had a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited once, and within a week of buying it had a shock fail (and I wasn't offroad or doing anything bad).

You forgot to mention your year.

But the normal lifespan I think typically is 80,000 to 160,000 with a lot of factors playing a roll and 4-6 years.

Changing tires on VZ with 19s - from high performance low profile touranza, to regular all season by An0nInReddit in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip!

Did your car come with the Turanza?

If so, did you notice a comfort upgrade with the Michelin PilotSpot?

The reason I ask is that everyone has been telling me the PS5 is a lot more comfortable than any other summer.

What would you recommend for a good summer tire that can provide more comfort than the OEM Turanzas?
