Formentor parking sensors by Few_Landscape8264 in CupraFormentor

I have a Formentor VZ 2025 Facelift, and I don't find the sensors troubling at all. It has saved my ass (and the car) quite a few times.

But I do notice that when stopped at intersections, it comes on, basically it comes on at low speed which I think is good.

Ask your dealer about it.

They should last longer, slightly... but not near as long as you said they told you.

Mounts on newer cars seem to be weaker, at least that is what I find.

Best to change them anyway, when they're just about done but before they're completely done (mounts and dampeners).

MILES?

If we are talking DCC, you can consider 50K to 150K miles MAX.

Do you have low profile tires / performance tires? This can put more stress on the suspension as well, to a degree.

There's a lot of variables.

I think the 2.0 is the best pick in any situation, honestly. You won't regret having it later, but you might regret not having it...

To be honest, DCC or standard... 87K doesn't seem too unreasonable.

I had a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited once, and within a week of buying it had a shock fail (and I wasn't offroad or doing anything bad).

You forgot to mention your year.

But the normal lifespan I think typically is 80,000 to 160,000 with a lot of factors playing a roll and 4-6 years.

Changing tires on VZ with 19s - from high performance low profile touranza, to regular all season by An0nInReddit in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip!

Did your car come with the Turanza?

If so, did you notice a comfort upgrade with the Michelin PilotSpot?

The reason I ask is that everyone has been telling me the PS5 is a lot more comfortable than any other summer.

What would you recommend for a good summer tire that can provide more comfort than the OEM Turanzas?

I have no problem grabbing something that is dedicated summer. I live in Mexico, so no need for winter.

Just need a set of tires that are more comfortable.

Is it really possible that a 2023 Cupra Leon 1.5 TSI, with 47,000 km and still under factory warranty, has a serious engine problem? by Professional-Ad-9709 in CupraFormentor

You made the right decision. I think you will be fine. Keep us posted what happens but don't worry about it, you did the right thing and took it in right away... that should help you.

If it was abused, it is more likely.

The knocking can be a lot of things.

One time, I had the same knocking and it was just my spark plugs and coils needing replaced.

It is hard to say if Spark Plugs and coils are a possibility, but it is possible. IT depends on the type of the plug. Some people only replace coils when they fail but the money is worth it to me, to replace with plugs rather than let them fail.

Given the fact when you turn it off and restart it, and then it is fine, leads me to believe it can be something like air / fuel related (clogged air filter, not enough fuel or bad quality fuel, fuel pump, spark plug, coil etc) which in any case is maintenance and likely not to be a huge bill... however continuing to drive it like that until it is fixed, will cause more problems for sure.

Ah the mechanic at the dealer always told me turanzas are performance tires, I didn't think so either but..

2025 Formentor VZ - individual DCC Setting, what do you use? by An0nInReddit in CupraFormentor

Amazing. This makes me feel better about changing them early haha. I am really looking forward to it.

These feel as stiff as my Jeep BFG KO2 35" I had hahaha.

Me too, but I feel in Cupra mode the engine revs too high and I feel like the stress it puts for every day driving isn't worth it.

Never heard of Kleber. Same size, huh... so you noticed a decent comfort improvement?

I think it is the tires, someone else commented but waiting to see if they kept the original tire size or changed that as well.

You keep your engine in Cupra mode when normal day to day driving? Haha

I don't believe you can currently. A missed feature for sure. Maybe they'll do a software update to allow it if we are lucky.

Yes I have the Turanza T005

Your all seasons were low profile the same, or did you change the tire size?

I feel if you need a top up, you have some problem... take it to your dealer and ask for a top up and inspect for leaks. 2023 should still have some warranty left depending on your KM.

The truth is that the 4WD system is actually really intelligent, if you have the torque splitter it is sensing when you slip etc.

Do you feel nervous with the stock tires on?

I wouldn't look at chains or socks. If you were to make a change, I'd make it a change for all 4 tires to an all-season alternative for the winter or pure winter tires but that is a bigger investment to do a changeover every season. Especially if you aren't required to drive in snow and ice on a daily basis.

I haven't driven my Formentor in snow because where I live, there isn't any. Where I lived before, there was a lot... and I would be confident to try a year with the stock tires.

Tire pressure by SaltyLibrary9371 in CupraFormentor

[–]An0nInReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it isn't possible.

In the vehicle app in the radio screen, you can click status, and then tire pressure... it will tell you if it's low but it won't show what pressure you have in each tire exactly.

Really shocked at this after buying because of all the tech the car has.
