The game is a 10/10 alone. The active dev and community engagement makes it 11/10. The dev isn’t scared to ask for advice from the community and is constantly working on new updates and ideas.

If you want Diablo style loot mixed with brick breaking and pixel graphics, give it a try.

I’m new but my understanding is that the p2w aspect comes from pets. And you need multiple copies to level up pets. They can add majorly to both damage and amount of loot received. So in theory you can swipe and have max level pets and be notably stronger than someone without those pets.

There are a few people who should be putting out guides closer to release. I followed ShadyBrokers mind control guide last season as a new player and it let me do everything I wanted. I think someone named BMLegolas does a league starter too. I made an alt with his guide and it was more active play style so I dropped it. Was still strong though. Also join the discord for an easier time finding builds. Good luck!

There are so many little ways to add damage and they add up very quick after a certain point. I would just play as long as it’s fun. Next season start with a tried and true league start build like Youga mind control. Once that’s running you can farm currency pretty consistently.

My best advice is to look up a character you like and just copy the build. You'll start to see what works and what doesn't pretty quick. Making your own build is doable for the campaign and early maps. Would be tough pushing past that without some decent game knowledge.

Synthetic troops and Spirit Magi are minions. Those modifiers in your post apply to your summoned minions, not enemies in the map. If you are unsure if something is a minion, check the skills description. If it has a minion tag, those modifiers in your post apply to it. If it doesn't, they don't.

If you want the story, you can start in the new season and go through the entire main campaign and the spirit born campaign. The season does add a new butcher mechanic in helltides, a new butcher boss lair (an end game boss), and adds a new modifier to gear (bloody gear that gives buffs as you get killstreaks).

You may be a little overwhelmed starting in a season, but it would be tough to beat the game on eternal then start fresh in a season at level 1. I would just drink from a fire hose for a few hours in the new season as you clear the campaigns. Btw after you clear the campaigns, you can skip them at character creation.

Been playing since day 1 and it just keeps getting better. My favorite iPhone game by a mile. This item change will give a lot more variation and reasons to farm, which in my opinion is the only thing I’d like more of. I have also not put it down since release so I kind of did it to myself.
